אאשר מכתבו מכ"ה בניסן עם המוסג"ב, ואבוא מיד לענינא דיומא, הוא ענין חזית הדתית, ובפרט חזית מאוחדת בין אגודה ופאג"י, שלדעתי הוא הכרח גמור, ותקותי, אשר עי"ז תגדל האפשרות גם לחזית דתית מאוחדת. ואחרי שבקרני מר בנימין שי' מינץ, עוד נתחזקה אצלי עמדתי זו.
כדי שלא להסביך המצב, אלא אדרבה להקל התנאים לחזית מאוחדת, דעתי ברורה וחזקה אשר לעת עתה נקודת הכובד צריכה להיות רק בהנוגע לבחירות בלבד, ואין לערב בזה ענינים צדדיים...
