Reciting Kaddish D'Rabbanan After Mishnayos in Different Shuls

The Rebbe addresses concerns about reciting Kaddish D'Rabbanan after Mishnayos in various shuls, clarifying that this is a widespread and proper custom. He explains it does not constitute an excess of Kaddish and highlights its spiritual importance, especially in challenging times.

[1st day of Chol HaMoed Pesach, 5715]

In response to your letter from the 7th of Nissan, in which you write that you sometimes pray in different synagogues, and some of them do not agree to your studying Mishnayos and saying the Kaddish that follows, claiming that one should not increase the number of Kaddishes. This complaint is very surprising, for this is a well-known custom throughout all Jewish communities. It is obvious that this does not fall under the category of increasing Kaddishes unnecessarily. Our Sages said (Sotah 49a) 'Yehei Shmei Rabba d'Agadata' (and learning Mishnayos is included in this, as explained by the halachic authorities) sustains the world, and only this saves and protects us from the doubled and redoubled darkness of the era preceding Mashiach. Certainly, you will explain all of the above to them...

Summary

The Rebbe writes that reciting Kaddish D'Rabbanan after learning Mishnayos is a longstanding and vital custom in all Jewish communities. He clarifies it is not considered an unnecessary addition of Kaddish and emphasizes its protective spiritual power, especially in difficult times.
