איך בין געווען צופרידען צו באקומען א גרוס פון אייך דורך הרה"ח הוו"ח אי"א נו"נ עוסק בצ"צ מוה"ר שלמה זלמן שי' העכט. און לויט אייער בקשה וועל איך מזכיר זיין אייך און אלע אייערע בני בית שי', אויף דעם ציון הק' פון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, צום גוטען געזונט און פרנסה.
און זיכער איז איבעריג צו אויפמערקזאם מאכען אז אפילו א גאנץ יאהר פארלאנגט הקב"ה, עבדו בשמחה, ד.ה. אז מען דארף זיין בשמחה אז מען איז פון די בני אברהם יצחק ויעקב, און בנים אתם לד' אלקיכם, און מען איז זוכה אז השי"ת איז משגיח בהשגחה פרטית אויף יעדער איינעם און איינע פון אונז אין יעדער צייט און אין יעדער ארט, און מה דאך ווען מען איז זוכה צו אזא כבוד צו זיין מיט א מלך בשר ודם חדר לפנים מחדר, וואלט דאך דאס געבראכט א דערהויבענקייט און שמחה, מכל שכן נאך פיל פאכיגער, דארף דאך ארויסרופען רוממות ושמחה די נאהענקייט מיט מלך מלכי המלכים הקב"ה, ווי עס ווערט ערקלערט בארוכה אין תניא פרק מ"ו.
און א צווייטער געדאנק איז אויך אין דעם, אז ווען מען געפינט זיך צוזאמען מיט דעם מלך מלכי המלכים הקב"ה, איז דאך זיכער, ווען מען געדיינקט דאס, אז עס קען ניט זיין קיין ניט גוטע זאך, ווארום קיינער האט ניט קיין שליטה אין דעם ארט אויסער הקב"ה אליין, איז טאמער אפילו אמאל מאכט זיך א ענין, וואס מען פארשטייט ניט דעם טוב הפנימי וואס אין דעם איז, איז דאס נאר צוליב דעם, וויילע מען האט זיך ניט גענוג אריינגעטראכט צו אויסגעפינען דאס, און סוף כל סוף זעהט מען אז כל מה דעביד רחמנא לטב עביד.
און איך האף אז די אויבענדערמאנטע שורות וועלען זיין גענוגענד צו ערוועקען אין אייך אט די התבוננות, און וועט גלייך קומען צו דעם ריכטיגען בטחון בהשם יתברך, און אז יעדער איד דארף זיין שטארק אין בטחון, און האט עס אויך לפחות בהעלם, און במילא צו זיין אויך בשמחה אמיתית.

I was pleased to receive regards from you through Haraha"ch hava"ch iy"a nu"n oseik b'tzt"z Moreinu Harav Shlomo Zalman Hecht.
And according to your request, I will mention you and all your household at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal l'havdil ben chayim mezakeh zichro yagen aleinu, for good health and livelihood.
And surely it is unnecessary to point out that even throughout the entire year, Hashem requires 'serve Hashem with joy,' meaning that one must be joyful over being among the children of Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov, and 'banim atem laHashem Elokeichem' (you are children to Hashem your G‑d), and we merit that Hashem supervises each and every one of us with individual Divine Providence at every time and in every place. And just as if one were privileged to be honored to be with a human king in his innermost chamber, this would bring elevation and joy—how much more so should it arouse exaltation and joy when drawing close to the King of kings, Hakadosh Baruch Hu, as explained at length in Tanya chapter 46.
And another thought in this: when one finds oneself together with the King of kings Hakadosh Baruch Hu, it is certain—when one remembers this—that nothing bad can happen there because no one has any control in that place except for Hakadosh Baruch Hu alone. So if sometimes something occurs whose inner good is not understood, it is only because one has not sufficiently contemplated to discover it. In the end, we see that 'kol mah d'avid Rachmana l'tav avid' (all that the Merciful One does is for good).
I hope that these above lines will suffice to awaken within you this contemplation and will immediately lead to proper trust in Hashem Yisbarach. Every Jew must be strong in trust—even if only subconsciously—and therefore also have true joy.
