אין צוזאמענהאנג מיט דער פארקומענדער יערלערכער פייערונג פון מרכז הישיבות "תומכי תמימים" ליובאוויטש, זונטאג פ' וארא, כ"ב טבת, תשט"ו. שיק איך מיין באגריסונג און ברכה צו אלע עסקני הישיבה, מיטהעלפער און שטיצער, אז עס זאל מקויים ווערען אין זיי די הבטחה פון "עץ חיים היא למחזיקים בה ותומכי' מאושר".
דער לעבענס-וויכטיקער ארט פון ישיבות, אלס יסוד פון אידישן לעבן, איז שוין ב"ה אנערקענט אין אלע קרייזען. די אויפגאבע פון ישיבות אין דער היינטיקער צייט, און בפרט דא אין אמעריקע, איז נאך וויכטיקער דערמיט - וואס די ישיבה איז דער ארט וואו א אידיש קינד באקומט ניט נאר די נויטיקע ידיעות אין תורה און מצוות, נאר ווערט דערצויגען אלס א פולשטענדיגער איד, כדי צו קענען פירן א גליקלעכן און הארמאנישן לעבן, לויט די אנווייזונגען פון תורתנו תורת חיים, חיים כפשוטם אויך בעולם הזה.
עס איז איבעראל באוואוסט, אז די ליובאוויטשער ישיבות תומכי-תמימים, מיט זייערע פיל הונדערטער תלמידים, כן ירבו, זיינען איינע פון די הויפט-זיילען פון אידישן לעבן אין אמעריקע. ניט נאר ערפילען זיי די וויכטיקסטע און שענסטע אויפגאבען און צוועקן פון א ישיבה בכלל, נאר, נוסף אויף דעם, האבען זיי זייער אייגענארטיקן כאראקטער דורך דעם גייסט פון אהבת ישראל און מסירות נפש פאר תורה ומצוות וואס ווערט אין זיי איינגעפלאנצט, אזוי אז די תלמידים "תמימים" פילען און דערפילען זייער פאראנטווארטלעכקייט און פליכט צו כלל ישראל, און זיינען "נרות להאיר" צו באלייכטען, יעדער איינער זיין סביבה, מיט דער ליכטיקייט פון "נר מצוה ותורה אור".
און דערפאר איז, בא איצטיגען פינאנציעלען קריזיס פון די ישיבות תומכי-תמימים א חוב קדוש צו אויפהאלטען זיי דורך ברייטע אונטערשטיצונג, און אויך פארגרעסערען און אויסברייטערן די ישיבה מיט אירע אפטיילונגען.
זאל מען זיך ניט באגנוג[נ]ען מיט בלויז העלפן די ישיבה תומכי-תמימים צו "עקזיסטירן". מען מוז איר געבען די געלט-מיטלען אנצוהאלטן איר נאטירלעכן וואוקס און אויסברייטערן זיך, ווי יעדע לעבעדיקע זאך וואס שטרעבט צו וואקסן כסדר.
מיר האבן די הבטחה פון כ"ק רבותינו הק' זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, אז יעדער איינער, מאן אדער פרוי, וואס נעמט אן אנטייל אין אויסהאלטן און שטיצן די ליובאוויטשער ישיבות שאפט זיך דערמיט די צנורות און כלים צו באקומען די ג-טלעכע ברכות און געניסן פון זיי אין טאג-טעגלעכן לעבן. און וואס גרעסער די השתתפות אלץ גרעסער זיינען די צנורות וכלים פאר פרנסה בהרחבה, נחת פון קינדער וכל טוב גשמי ורוחני.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In connection with the upcoming annual celebration of the central Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva of Lubavitch, Sunday Parshas Va'era, 22 Teves, 5715, I am sending my greetings and blessing to all those involved with the yeshiva—its activists, helpers, and supporters—that within them should be fulfilled the promise: "It is a tree of life to those who hold fast to it and its supporters are fortunate."
The vital role of yeshivos as the foundation of Jewish life is already, thank G‑d, recognized in all circles. The mission of yeshivos in our time—especially here in America—is even more crucial: the yeshiva is where a Jewish child receives not only the necessary knowledge in Torah and mitzvos but is also raised as a complete Jew so that he can lead a happy and harmonious life according to the guidance of our Torah of Life—life in its literal sense also in this world.
It is well known everywhere that the Lubavitcher Tomchei Temimim Yeshivos—with their many hundreds of students (may they increase)—are among the main pillars of Jewish life in America. Not only do they fulfill the most important and beautiful missions and purposes of a yeshiva in general; additionally, they have their own unique character through the spirit of Ahavas Yisrael and self-sacrifice for Torah and mitzvos that is instilled within them. Thus, the students—the Temimim—feel and fulfill their responsibility and duty to Klal Yisrael and are "candles to illuminate," each one lighting up his environment with the brightness of "a mitzvah is a lamp and Torah is light."
Therefore, during this current financial crisis facing Tomchei Temimim Yeshivos, it is a sacred obligation to support them through broad assistance—and also to expand and broaden the yeshiva with its branches. One should not be satisfied with merely helping Tomchei Temimim to "exist." We must provide it with financial means to sustain its natural growth and expansion like any living thing that strives for constant growth.
We have the assurance from our holy Rebbeim (of blessed memory) that every individual—man or woman—who takes part in maintaining and supporting Lubavitcher yeshivos thereby creates channels and vessels to receive G‑dly blessings and enjoy them in daily life. And the greater one's participation, the greater are these channels and vessels for abundant livelihood, nachas from children, and all good things both material and spiritual.
