לאחרי ההפסק נעם לי לקבל מכתבו הכתוב בכתב ידו. ובודאי יקויים בו פסק רז"ל כל מי שמטיבין עמו (ב"ב יב, ב). ובודאי ידוע לו השקפתנו, על ענינים כמו אלו, וע"פ תורת הבעש"ט (שבאמת, בנוגע לאיש הישראלי מוסכם ג"כ מחוקרי ישראל הקודמים לו), הרי כל פרט ופרט שבפרט מחיי האדם והדצ"ח בכלל, הוא בכיוון ולשם תכלית. וכפתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה באחד המאמרים שלו בדא"ח, משלים הכוונה העליונה. וע"פ עיקר מעיקרי יסודות אמונתנו שהיא הבחירה חפשית, הרי יש לכל ענין חלק הטוב שבו, עד שאפילו חשוכא - שעפ"י תורה היא חשך - אפשר להתהפך לנהורא ומרירו למיתקא. וכיון שאיקלע כת"ר לבית הרפואה... הרי עליו לנצל הזדמנות זו ולהשפיע על הנמצאים שם - בקירוב לבם לתורה וליהדות בכלל, ולחסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי' בפרט.
וככל שימהר ויזדרז בזה - הרי תושלם שליחותו במקום זה, ובמילא יפטרוהו משם בבריאות ולשלום והצלחה. וזריזין - מקדימין. ובפרט כפתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, אז חסידים זיינען קלוגע און לייגען ניט אפ אויף מארגן דאס וואס מען קען אפטאן היינט, ויה"ר מהשי"ת שמכאן ולהבא ישלים כל עניניו בדרכים שיהיו אך טוב וחסד בטוב הנראה והנגלה.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
After the pause, it pleased me to receive your letter written in your own handwriting. Surely the teaching of our Sages will be fulfilled for you: "Whoever is treated well..." (Bava Basra 12b). Certainly you are aware of our perspective on matters such as these, and according to the teachings of the Baal Shem Tov (which is also agreed upon by earlier Jewish scholars), every single detail of a person's life—and all living things in general—happens with purpose and for a specific goal. As the Previous Rebbe said in one of his discourses in Chassidus, everything fulfills the higher purpose.
And according to one of the main principles of our faith—free choice—every situation has its good aspect; even darkness—which according to Torah is darkness—can be transformed into light and bitterness into sweetness. Since you have found yourself in the hospital... you should use this opportunity to influence those there—bringing their hearts closer to Torah and Judaism in general, and especially to Chassidus with its guidance and customs. The quicker and more energetically you do this, your mission in that place will be completed; consequently, you will be released from there with health, peace, and success. And as it is said: "The zealous act quickly." Especially as the Previous Rebbe would say: "Chassidim are clever—they do not put off until tomorrow what can be accomplished today." May it be G‑d's will that from now on you complete all your matters only in ways that are truly good and kind—good that is visible and revealed.
Blessings for a complete recovery of body and soul.
Summary
Even challenging situations contain hidden good. By using every opportunity—including a hospital stay—to bring others closer to Torah and Chassidus, one fulfills a higher purpose and merits revealed blessings.
