ובודאי ידוע לו מהכתוב בשו"ע רבנו הזקן ריש הלכות שחיטה ובשו"ת הצ"צ הפס"ד דשו"ב צ"ל ירא שמים ביותר, ובודאי ביחד עם הנ"ל יוסיף אומץ בלימוד תורת החסידות והדרכותי' והנהגותי', וידוע פסק רז"ל דיגעת ומצאת שתהי' יראת ה' היא אוצרו ויסתדר בקרוב כטוב לפניו בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter in which you inform me that you are studying the craft of shochet and bodek, this is indeed proper and may Hashem grant you success. Surely you are aware of what is written in the Shulchan Aruch of our Rebbe at the beginning of the laws of shechitah and in the responsa of the tzt"z, that a shochet must be an outstanding yerey Shomayim. Certainly, together with this, you will strengthen yourself in the study of Chassidus and its guidance and conduct. It is well known the ruling of our Sages: "You toiled and found," so that fear of Hashem will be his treasure. May you soon be settled for good before Him both materially and spiritually.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that being a shochet requires exceptional fear of Heaven, as stated in halachic sources. Alongside technical training, one should deepen their study and practice of Chassidus to merit true success in all areas.
