במענה על מכתבו מי"ט סיון, בו כותב אודות העלמות והסתרים השונים שישנם אצלו ומפרטם לסעיפים. הנה כל הסעיפים שחושב - מקור אחד להם, והוא הסתת הצד דלעומת זה, שמפריע את האדם בכל הדרכים, למנוע את האדם מעבודתו את בוראו, וכיון שהסיבה אחת היא, הרי יש לתקן על ידי שינוי עיקרי אחד, והוא - המסירה והנתינה ללימוד תורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות, מבלי כל תירוצים. וכשיחליט באמת אליבא דנפשי' לעשות כזה, ויכיר את האמת שזה נוגע לכל מעמדו ומצבו בחיים, ולא רק בענינים הרוחנים אלא גם בחיים הגשמיים, הרי רואים הצלחת השי"ת. וכבר ידוע הפס"ד שאפילו מעט אור דוחה הרבה חשך. אלא שכדי להרבות בסייעתא דשמיא, צריך לשמור שלשת השיעורים השוים לכל נפש מתקנת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע (בחומש תהלים ותניא) הידועים. ולהוסיף בצדקה עם הזולת, היינו לקרבו לתורת השם ולעבודתו, שצדקה גם ברוחניות - תרומם גוי, וכמבואר בתורה אור לרבנו הזקן בתחלתו.
המורם מהנ"ל, ילמוד בשקידה במסירה ונתינה בנגלה דתורה ובתורת החסידות, יוסיף אומץ בעבודת התפלה ובקיום המצות בהידור, ולהשפיע על הזולת לקרבם לאילנא דחיי, שאז יקוים היעוד - לאט לאט אגרשנו. ויוכל לבשר טוב בכל הענינים שנגע במכתבו.

In response to your letter from the 19th of Sivan, in which you write about the various concealments and obstacles you are experiencing and detail them in sections: All the sections you mention have a single source—the enticement of the opposing side (yetzer hora), which disturbs a person in every way to prevent him from serving his Creator. Since there is only one cause, it can be corrected through a single fundamental change: dedicating oneself to learning both the revealed Torah and Chassidus without any excuses.
When one truly decides—deep within himself—to do this, and recognizes the truth that this affects his entire standing and situation in life—not only spiritual matters but also material life—then one sees the success granted by G‑d. It is already known that even a little light dispels much darkness.
However, to increase Heavenly assistance, one must keep the three daily study portions established by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe—of blessed memory—in Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya. One should also increase in tzedakah with others; that is, draw others closer to Torah and service of G‑d. For tzedakah even in spiritual matters elevates a nation, as explained at the beginning of Torah Or by our master the Alter Rebbe.
The conclusion from all this: Study diligently with dedication in both Nigleh (revealed Torah) and Chassidus; strengthen your efforts in prayer and meticulous mitzvah observance; influence others to bring them closer to the Tree of Life. Then the promise will be fulfilled: "Little by little I will drive it out." You will be able to share good news regarding all matters mentioned in your letter.

All spiritual struggles originate from one source—the yetzer hora—and can be overcome through sincere commitment to Torah study (both Nigleh and Chassidus), prayer, mitzvos with care, and positively influencing others.
