נבהלתי לקבלת מכתבו מעש"ק תולדות, בו כותב אודות בריאותו, ובודאי ימלא כהוראת הרופאים ובמילא יוכל להודיע בקרוב ממש אשר הוטב מצב בריאותו ולאט לאט חוזר לעבודתו בקדש כמובן ברשיונם של הנ"ל.
וכיון שחדש זה הוא חדש הגאולה והנסים של כלל ישראל ונס גאולת רבינו הזקן שבאמת הוא ג"כ נסים של כלל ישראל וכידוע פתגם אדמוה"ז שתורת החסידות היא שייכה לכלל ישראל, הנה יקויים בנו איווי נשיאינו הק' שיהי' גילוי עצמותינו, כל המציאות העצם וההתפשטות - אשר בריאות כזו ברוחניות בדרך ממילא מביא בריאות בגשמיות עד"ז והשי"ת יזכהו לבשר טובות עד"ז בקרוב ממש.

I was alarmed to receive your letter from Erev Shabbat Kodesh Toldot, in which you write about your health. Certainly you will fulfill the doctors' instructions, and thus you will soon be able to inform me that your health has improved and that you are gradually returning to your holy work, as is understood with their permission.
Since this month is the month of redemption and miracles for all of Israel—and the miracle of the Alter Rebbe's redemption is truly also miracles for all Israel—as is known from the saying of the Alter Rebbe that the teachings of Chassidus belong to all Israel, may it be fulfilled in us the desire of our holy leaders: that there should be a revelation of our essence—our entire being, essence, and expansion—so that such spiritual health naturally brings about physical health as well. May Hashem grant you to share good news like this very soon.
