מכתבו זה מכבר ועתה המכתב מב' אלול קבלתי. וכבקשתו אקרא הפ"נ שלו על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ וצדיקא דאתפטר דאשתכח בהאי עלמא יתיר מבחיוהי בודאי יתן ברכתו והשי"ת ימלא ברכותיו בגשמיות וברוחניות.
בטח מתבקרת זוג' תחי' מזמן לזמן ע"י רופא מומחה, ואין להתפעל מה שעד עתה נמשך הדבר. ובפרט בשנת ההסתלקות, אשר מחד גיסא סרו כל ההגבלות כמבואר באגה"ק סי' כ"ז וביאורה, ומאידך גיסא גם ע"פ תורת הנגלה כל י"ב חודש ישנה שייכות מיוחדת לזה שנסתלק עם עלמא דין, צריך לעשות כלי בטבע, ואז יהיו השפעות בהמצטרך בגשמיות וברוחניות בהצלחה למעלה מדרך הטבע, ובלבד שיהי' צינור ההתקשרות בתוקף גדול - פתוח, אשר דרכי ההתקשרות כבר נתבארו בהקדמות לקונטרסים שהו"ל במשך חדשים האחרונים.

I received your earlier letter some time ago, and now I have received your letter from 2 Elul. As you requested, I will read your pan at the Tziyun of my father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m. And "a tzaddik who has passed on is found in this world even more than during his lifetime," so he will surely give his blessing. May Hashem fulfill your blessings both materially and spiritually.
Certainly your wife is being examined from time to time by a specialist physician, and do not be alarmed that this matter has continued until now. Especially in the year of histalkus: on one hand, all limitations are removed as explained in Iggeres HaKodesh section 27 and its commentary; on the other hand, even according to nigleh (revealed Torah), throughout all twelve months there is a special connection to one who has passed from this world. One must make a natural vessel for blessing; then there will be success beyond nature both materially and spiritually—provided that the channel of connection remains very strong and open. The ways of connection have already been explained in the introductions to the kuntreisim published over recent months.
Enclosed is a kuntres for Chai Elul with an attached letter. Surely it is unnecessary to remind you to set aside fixed times especially for learning my father-in-law's Torah and reciting kapitel 71 in Tehillim, as well as giving tzedakah in a way that is not burdensome—here what matters is not quantity but intent—without a vow every day except Shabbos and Yom Tov—to the institutions founded by my father-in-law the Rebbe hk"m. These are the three pillars: Torah, avodah (service), and gemilus chasadim (acts of kindness).
I strongly hope you will be able to share good news regarding yourself, your wife, your daughters and sons.
