מצות הצדקה, מקרבים הגאולה. וענין הצדקה הוא, בדומה להאמור בתחילת המכתב, צדקה עם הגוף וצדקה עם הנשמה: צדקה עם הגוף - כפשוטה, לתת צדקה לעניים, או להפריש לשופר של צדקה. וצדקה עם הנשמה היא להשתדל שיוסיפו החברים והידידים בעניני תורה ומצות, על ידי היות כל אחד ואחת מכם דוגמא חי', ולדבר עמהם בזה

Shalom u'Vrachah!
The strong hope is that you are using your summer days to recharge and strengthen your health—both physical health together with the health of the soul, which are interconnected. Since the health of the soul is tied to Torah (for "it is our life and the length of our days") and mitzvos (about which it is said "v'chai bahem"—"and you shall live by them"), you are surely striving in Torah study and mitzvah observance as required. Certainly, the assurance "yagata u'matzata" ("you have toiled and you have found") will be fulfilled.
I especially want to highlight a point regarding the approaching days of Bein HaMetzarim—that you surely know about these days from the parsha and their content. The point is: pay attention to the special merit that Jewish children have—a merit that affects all of Israel—based on King David's words: "Mipi olalim v'yonekim yisadeta oz l'hashbit oyev u'mitnakem" ("Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings You have established strength to silence foe and avenger")—to silence even that enemy who brought us into Bein HaMetzarim and still attacks our people today. The way to defeat him is through oz (strength), which is our holy Torah called oz, learned from the mouths of children, etc.
Their power is so great that, as our Sages teach us: "The world exists only because of the breath of schoolchildren," breath without sin—that is, Jewish children who have not yet reached bar/bat mitzvah age.
In continuation of this point, special attention should be given to our prophet's words—Chazon Yeshayahu ben Amotz: "Tzion b'mishpat tipadeh v'shaveha b'tzedakah" ("Zion will be redeemed with justice and her returnees with charity"). One explanation for mishpat here is Torah. This means that through Torah study and mitzvah observance—especially tzedakah—we bring redemption closer.
Tzedakah involves both body and soul: bodily tzedakah means literally giving charity to those in need or contributing to a tzedakah fund; tzedakah with the soul means encouraging friends to increase in Torah and mitzvos by being a living example yourself and speaking heartfelt words with them about this.
Since I very much desire—and it will be a great pleasure for me—to partner with you in this matter, I request that each one of you receive a coin in your local currency as my participation in this act of tzedakah.
May Hashem bless and grant success to each one of you in all these matters—especially increasing in Torah study and tzedakah—in an ever-increasing manner. When you return from camp to your homes for the coming school year, may you continue increasing strength and health in both body and soul together; may you go from strength to strength in diligent Torah study leading to beautiful mitzvah observance—all with joy and gladness of heart.
Soon we will all merit—together with all Israel—that these days will be transformed into joy and gladness with our true and complete redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu: "He shall rule from sea to sea, from river to the ends of the earth," "and the glory of Hashem will fill all the earth."
