The vice-mayor, Mr. Lindsay, turned here regarding his visit and requested a letter, etc. It seems appropriate that Mr. should see a copy of the letter sent to the aforementioned—and it is attached.
Thank you for your letter after the birthday celebration. Surely you saw the clear answer to one of the main points in your letter—in your birthday Tehillim chapter for this year, which not only begins with Ashrei ("Happy are those") but also ends with Selah ("forever").
And after this—that when one goes from strength (and perhaps it will be fulfilled that they will ascend) to strength—and note that Admor HaZaken (in Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim section 671) quotes this verse in the language of the Gemara (at the end of tractate Berachos), as follows.
May it be G‑d's will that all the blessings with which you were blessed regarding your birthday be fulfilled for you—especially as we approach the Festival of Redemption Yud Tes Kislev, and afterwards—the days of Chanukah, whose essence is spreading and increasing light through candles and illumination in such a way that it shines at the entrance to one's house outward—to illuminate even outside.
