מאשר אני בזה קבלת מכתבו עם המצורף אליו, חיבורו בכתב יד בפרד"ס שבתורה.
ולאחרי בקשת סליחתו, הנה על פי נוהג

כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שאין נותנים הסכמה וכדומה לחיבורים מטעמים מובנים, אין בידי למלאות בקשתו בזה ואתו הסליחה.
ובודאי אשר באה"ק ת"ו ימצא כמה וכמה שיעיינו בחיבורו ויביעו חוות דעתם.
כיון שמזכיר אשר מרביץ שיעור תורה ברבים, תקותי שהשיעור מיוסד על דרך הנ"ל בפרד"ס שבתורה, כוונתי גם לפנימיות התורה, כולל הסוד שבתורה, וכידוע מאמר הזוהר אשר בזה יפקון מבי' גלותא ברחמי (ר"מ זוהר ח"ג, קכ"ד, ב).

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter with its enclosure, your handwritten composition on Pardes in Torah.
And after asking your forgiveness, according to the custom of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe—may his merit protect us—that endorsements and similar are not given for compositions for understandable reasons, I am unable to fulfill your request in this matter and ask your pardon.
Surely in due course you will find several who will review your work and express their opinions.
Since you mention that you teach public Torah classes, I hope that these lessons are based on the aforementioned approach in Pardes in Torah; I mean also the inner dimension of Torah, including its secrets—as is known from the saying of the Zohar that "with this [study] they will go out from exile with mercy" (see Zohar III, 124b).
