The Influence of a Mother's State on the Fetus's Body and Character

One of the revealed reasons: The entire fetus is built from a single drop—into a complete body (and the structure of the body also significantly influences the qualities of the soul)—entirely through the mother alone (and during its time in pregnancy, it eats what its mother eats, etc.), to such an extent that it is clearly seen that the mother's spirituality (and whether she is joyful or fearful, etc.) influences and even shapes the character (the nature) of the fetus (so that it will be born whole and healthy, etc.).

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that a mother's physical and emotional state profoundly impacts her unborn child, shaping both health and character. This underscores the importance of positivity and spirituality during pregnancy.
