I acknowledge receipt of your letter... And as we stand on the day of the redemption of Admor HaEmtza'i — may it be remembered for good — a meritorious day, and near to it another meritorious day, Yud Tes Kislev — the redemption of Admor HaZaken, when the main aspect of spreading the wellsprings outward began, may we merit very soon to connect redemption to redemption. This will fulfill the prophecy: 'K'sheyafutzu Maayanosecha Chutzah Eti Mar Da Malka Meshicha' ("When your wellsprings spread outward, then I will come; this is King Mashiach"), who will wage the wars of Hashem and succeed and defeat all surrounding nations; afterwards he will build the Beis HaMikdash in its place and then gather in the dispersed of Israel in the true and complete redemption of Bnei Yisrael and Shechinah in exile — who returns with them when they are redeemed. As it is stated: 'Ve'alu Moshi'im (Mashiach) BeHar Tzion Lishpot...' ("And saviors shall ascend Mount Zion to judge...") 'Vehayesa LaHashem HaMelucha' ("and sovereignty shall be Hashem's").

P.S. For a certain reason, the sending was delayed until now — 15 Kislev, fullness of the moon, when the moon stands in its completeness in this third month among the winter months. May it be that all matters should be fulfilled in their true completeness — both in man's service through three types: turn from evil, do good, seek peace (or as explained by our Sages on 'He redeemed my soul in peace'), Torah study, acts of kindness and prayer; both in reward for this service and its effect — that as one awakens below so is awakened above; until fulfillment soon in our days of the threefold promise: 'Elokim Yoshia Tzion V'yivne Arei Yehuda V'yashvu Sham V'Yirashuha V'Zera Avadav Yinhaluha V'Ohevei Shemo Yishkonu Bah' ("G‑d will save Zion and build cities of Judah; they will dwell there and inherit it; his servants' offspring will possess it; those who love His name will dwell there").
A mitzvah from these days: I acknowledge receipt of your letter from a very long time ago as well as a certain memory note; may it be fulfilled doubly for good.
According to conduct etc. — it is worthwhile that he and also his son should put on tefillin and pray according to Chabad custom. The size of tefillin should follow his local rabbi's instruction.
With honor and blessing to increase Torah and glorify it — from a broad place (see Chullin 66b; Rambam Hilchos Tumas Tzaraas ch. 2). And with expansiveness.
With blessings for great success in this most lofty campaign mentioned above and for further increase therein.
