Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your two letters, in which you write main points about your life, your mood, and your general situation recently, etc. In general, it is not surprising for a Jewish man or woman to lack inner peace if their daily conduct does not align with their inner and true nature—that is, with what our holy Torah says about each of our people: Banim Atem LaHashem Elokeichem ("You are children of the L‑rd your G‑d"). Just as a child must behave in a way fitting for their parents, how much more so—infinitely more so—for the children of the Creator; sons and daughters of Israel whose Father in Heaven has shown them the path of life in His Torah (the term "Torah" means "instruction"), which is called "Torat Chaim" (Torah of Life). He is also the Creator who made them suited for this way of life. Therefore, deviating from this conduct disrupts inner peace, etc.
From this it is also understood what the main advice is to improve the situation: first and foremost, from now on you should conduct yourself in a way that fits the will of Hashem—the Creator and Guide of man—as detailed in Shulchan Aruch. I assume there are those who challenge this premise by pointing out that many who do not observe mitzvos seem to lack nothing—not even peace of mind or similar things. The answer to this question is also simple: (a) In the words of our Sages—Ein Adam Yodea Mah Shebilev Chaveiro ("No one knows what is in another's heart"), especially in areas where for various understandable reasons one does not wish to reveal them to others. (b) It is like physical illness—when a patient does not feel sick it is not a sign of health; on the contrary, it shows that the illness is severe. This applies even more strongly regarding mental health.
Regarding your question about practical advice: based on your letter's description you should begin organizing your life so you get used to an orderly daily routine. This will make it easier for you to enter a stable life pattern—self-discipline, mind and intellect ruling over heart and emotion, etc. Of course, this does not contradict what was written at the start of this letter; rather, within this framework one must act naturally. It seems that one main cause for your situation is disorder and instability in your external life circumstances—and as a result also in your emotional state and feelings. Since after a long period of disorganized living it can be hard to adjust to order and stability, one way to ease this transition is through an external factor—such as taking a job or similar commitment—so you know you have obligations toward others at set work hours etc.
It appears between the lines of your letter that you see your situation as having hidden or serious causes etc., but in my opinion the main point and cause are these two matters: living according to Torah and having an organized routine. When you correct these (even gradually), your situation will improve significantly—perhaps even completely.
Another important point here is finding a suitable match (shidduch). However, it is clear that approaching such an important matter—and certainly deciding about it—should be done with peace of mind and without confusion. Therefore first arrange these two matters above; only afterward approach and look into this last point.
It is hard to estimate beforehand how much time will be needed for these improvements—but I am certain it depends solely on your willpower and strong decision to follow this path; afterward fulfill this decision without hesitation or doubt etc.
May it be Hashem's will—that He who watches over each individual with Divine Providence—will illuminate your path in life and grant you success in all you need materially and spiritually.
Blessings for mental health, physical health, and good news.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that true inner peace comes from aligning one's life with Torah values and maintaining daily structure. By organizing one's routine according to Torah guidance and natural orderliness, emotional well-being improves—and only then should major decisions like marriage be considered.
