The Avrech... Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from the 22nd of Tammuz, requesting a blessing and a pan (pidyon nefesh). At an auspicious time it will be read at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory.

Blessings, in the name of the Rebbe shlita, Secretary

P.S. It is proper that his tefillin should be checked, and every weekday before putting on tefillin he should set aside a few coins for charity.

Regarding your writing about stuttering: Since a person must do what is required naturally, he should consult and act according to a doctor's opinion. However—and most importantly—he should increase diligence and persistence in Torah study (both revealed and Chassidus), and this study should be as our Sages instruct: it leads to action—fulfilling mitzvos with beauty—which is not only essential because it is G‑d's command but also the way to receive blessing from Him Who heals all flesh and performs wonders; the human doctor is merely His agent.

It is clearly observed that regarding stuttering in particular, strengthening one's trust in Hashem—Who watches over each individual with Divine Providence—is especially helpful. This is because an important cause of this condition is a lack of inner calm and sufficient self-confidence.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that addressing challenges like stuttering involves both practical steps—such as medical consultation and checking tefillin—and spiritual growth through Torah study and increased trust in Hashem. Strengthening faith brings inner peace and opens channels for blessing.
