צו דער געלעגנהייט פון דעם יערלעכן לאנטשאן, וואס קומט פאר ביום א' פרשת שלח, שיק איך אן אינערלעכן וואונש, אז דער אויבערשטער זאל באגליקן די אונטערנעמונג מיט גרויס הצלחה, און אז די הצלחה זאל זיך פילן און מערקן א גאנץ יאר.
אין דער סדרה פון דער וואך - שלח - ווערט דערציילט וועגן אן ענין אין וועלכן די פרויען האבן זיך ווידעראמאל אויסגעצייכנט מיט זייער צוגעבונדקייט צום אויבערשטן און האבן געדינט אלס מוסטער פאר די מענער.
עס האט זיך געהאנדלט וועגן דעם אויבערשטנ'ס הבטחה דורך משה רבנו צו געבן ארץ-ישראל צו די אידן, וואס די מרגלים האבן מיט זייער ניט-גוטן באריכט אפגעשוואכט אין די הערצער פון די מענער. די פרויען, דאגעגן זיינען געבליבן פעסט אין זייער גלויבן אין דעם אויבערשטנ'ס הבטחה. דאס איז ספעציעל געקומען צום אויסדרוק ווען די טעכטער פון צלפחד האבן געפאדערט א נחלה אין ארץ-ישראל, ווי עס ווערט דערציילט אין א שפעטערדיגע סדרה. די מוטיגע האנדלונג פון די טרייע אידישע טעכטער - ווערט שטארק געלויבט פון אונזערע חכמים, זכרונם לברכה.
דערפון זעען מיר, אז עס זיינען פאראן זאכן, אפט - גאר וויכטיגע אנגעלעגנהייטן וועלכע זיינען נוגע דעם כלל ישראל, וואו פרויען דארפן נעמען אן אקטיוון אנטייל און דינען אלס לעבעדיגער מוסטער אפילו פאר די מענער.
ספעציעל וויכטיג איז דער אנטייל וואס פרויען דארפן נעמען אין דעם געביט פון חינוך. די אידישע פרוי איז באשאנקען מיט ספעציעלע אייגנשאפטן און געפילן, מיט א באזונדערער פילבארקייט און מוטערלעכער צוגעבונדקייט צו א אידיש קינד, בפרט א קינד אין נויט. אויסערדעם וואס זיי קענען זייער פיל ביישטייערן דורך זייער דירעקטער הילף, סיי בנוגע די מאטעריעלע און סיי גייסטיגע באדערפענישן, איז ניט ווייניגער וויכטיג אויך די אומדירעקטע הילף וואס די פרויען לייסטן, דינענדיג אלס לעבעדיגער ביישפיל און ארויסרופנדיג א באגייסטערונג בא די מענער.
דער זכות פון אייער טעטיקייט לטובת די מוסדות חינוך אין כפר חב"ד, וועלכע זיינען געגרינדעט געווארן דורך כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע - א טעטיקייט וועלכע איר וועט זיכער פארשטארקן און אויסברייטערן, ווי עס פאדערט זיך אין אלע ענינים פון תורה וקדושה - וועט אייך ביישטיין, איר זאלט מיט דעם אויבערשטנ'ס הילף מצליח זיין אין אייער ארבעט, און דורכדעם אויך באגליקט ווערן, צוזאמען מיט די בני בית שיחיו, אין אלץ וואס מען נויטיגט זיך, בגשמיות וברוחניות.

To those participating in the annual luncheon of the NY Committee for the Seminar for Teachers and Girls' Schools in Kfar Chabad in our holy land — may Hashem grant you life — Shalom u'Vrachah!
On the occasion of this annual luncheon, which takes place on Sunday of Parshat Shelach, I send a heartfelt wish that the Alm-ghty should bless this undertaking with great success, and that this success should be felt and recognized throughout the entire year.
In this week's Torah portion — Shelach — it is recounted how women once again distinguished themselves with their devotion to the Alm-ghty and served as a model for men. It concerned the Alm-ghty's promise through Moshe Rabbeinu to give Eretz Yisrael to the Jews, which the spies weakened in the hearts of the men with their negative report. The women, however, remained steadfast in their faith in the Alm-ghty's promise. This was especially expressed when the daughters of Tzlafchad demanded an inheritance in Eretz Yisrael, as told in a later portion. The courageous act of these three Jewish daughters is highly praised by our Sages of blessed memory.
From this we see that there are matters — often very important issues concerning all of Israel — where women must take an active part and serve as a living example even for men.
Especially important is the role women must play in the field of education. The Jewish woman is endowed with special qualities and feelings, with a unique sensitivity and motherly attachment to a Jewish child, especially a child in need. Besides what they can contribute directly regarding both material and spiritual needs, no less important is also the indirect help that women provide by serving as a living example and inspiring enthusiasm among men.
The merit of your activity for the benefit of educational institutions in Kfar Chabad — institutions founded by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal — an activity which you will surely strengthen and expand as is required in all matters of Torah and holiness — will stand by you. With G‑d's help you will succeed in your work and thereby also be blessed together with your families with everything needed materially and spiritually.
