Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 24th of Nisan (written for her) regarding the relationships at home, etc. Since most often such a situation results from undesirable closeness—at a time when such closeness is not permitted according to our holy Torah, the Torah of life—and since sometimes this also comes from an incomplete knowledge of all the laws in this matter, therefore they—she and her husband—should clarify all the details with a rabbi who is an authority in halachah, with the intention to conduct themselves accordingly from now on. There is nothing that stands in the way of willpower.
It is also appropriate for them to check the mezuzot in their home to ensure they are all kosher according to halachah, and that she should maintain the good custom of Jewish women to give charity before lighting candles every Friday afternoon and before every festival.
With blessing for good news in all the above,
In the name of the Lubavitcher Rebbe shlita,
Secretary
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that challenges in marital harmony should be addressed by consulting a qualified halachic authority and maintaining proper boundaries. Strengthening mitzvah observance—such as checking mezuzot and giving charity before candle lighting—brings blessing and positive change.
