Shalom u'Vrachah!
I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the day of... and regarding this day: The Torah states: Ba'ashtei Asar Chodesh B'Echad LaChodesh ("In the eleventh month, on the first of the month")—Moses explained the Torah and, as Rashi comments, he explained it to them in seventy languages.
The extension of Moses exists in every generation for the six hundred thousand souls, but it is in great concealment and hiddenness. More than this—even within every righteous person and scholar who engages in Torah. Furthermore, in every generation sparks from Moses' soul descend and clothe themselves in the body and soul of the sages of that generation—the eyes of the community—to teach knowledge to the people and to serve G‑d with heart and soul.
From all this it is understood that teaching knowledge and service of G‑d to the people must be done even by explaining it in seventy languages if there is someone among the people who needs it. We see this tangibly in my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, who instructed that words of Torah—including also teachings of Chassidus—be translated into several languages—literal languages—and even seventy languages and facets within one language of Torah—to explain even the mystical part of Torah which has been revealed in our generations through Chassidus to everyone, even to simple folk. And all this also applies to guiding them on how to serve G‑d with heart and soul.
May it be G‑d's will that during these days close to his yahrzeit—and with greater strength on the yahrzeit itself—the tenth day of the eleventh month—each individual will be inspired to make good resolutions that will later result in good actions—the main thing—following his above-mentioned ways as a constant path without interruption forever.
This will draw down and increase all matters for which "this day is auspicious," as our Rebbe, my father-in-law—the one whose yahrzeit it is—said: To connect with the Tree of Life; to receive—with your wives, sons, and daughters—the blessing of Hashem for abundant life, good livelihood, satisfaction from your offspring; and may you be blessed with children, life, and ample sustenance.
Summary
This letter teaches that Torah must be accessible to everyone—even through translation into many languages—following Moses' example as continued by leaders like the Rebbe Rayatz. We are encouraged to make enduring commitments to good deeds inspired by their path.
