Shalom u'Vrachah! [11 Nissan 5724] Thank you for the good news from 27 Adar regarding your putting on Tefillin D'Rabbeinu Tam, and for writing about your feelings of awe in this matter, etc.
In general, everyone is commanded: "Serve Hashem with joy and rejoice with trembling." However, connecting this trembling specifically with putting on Tefillin D'Rabbeinu Tam—see about the importance of putting on Tefillin D'Rabbeinu Tam, and even more than its importance, in Shaar HaKolel chapter 11 (by Rabbi Lavot on the Siddur) and in several other books (especially in Sefer Maasef Lechol HaMachanos).
