און בעת רצון וועט מדען מזכיר זיין אייך און אייער פרוי תחי', אויף דעם ציון הק' פון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע לויט דעם אינהאלט פון אייער שרייבען, ויהי רצון אזוי ווי איר האט געבראכט די בקשה, זאלט איר אויך קענען אנזאגען גוטע בשורות אין דעם.
איך האף אז יעדער פון אייך און ביידע צוזאמען וועלען זיך אריינטראכטען, אז יעדער ענין איז בהשגחה פרטית, און אייער בריף איז געשריבען געווארען אין חדש כסלו חדש הנסים והגאולה, און מיר געפינען זיך געציילטע טעג פאר י"ט כסלו, גאולת רבנו הזקן וועלכעס איז אויך גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו, און דער פ"נ וועט געלייענט ווערן - בל"נ - אין דעם חדש כסלו חדש הנסים והשמחה און ליכטיגער חדש, ווי אנגעצייכענט [אין] די מצוה און ענין פון נרות חנוכה - מיט וועלכע עס שליסט זיך אפ דער חדש כסלו, וועלכעס דייטעט אן צו באלייכטען דעם לעבען פון א אידען מיט נר מצוה ותורה אור.
און אריינטראכטענדיק זיך אין דאס אויבען געשריבענע איין מאל און מערערע מאל, ביז דאס זאל איינגעקריצט ווערען אין זכרון וועט דאס בריינגען צום אויספיר בסגנון נעים זמירות ישראל בשם כל ישראל, ה' לי לא אירא, ה' רועי לא אחסר, וויבאלד אז השם יתברך גיט אכטונג אויף יעדערן, דארף דאך ניט פעלען אין דעם אלעס וואס מ'נויטיגט זיך, און זיין בשמחה וטוב לבב וואס מ'האט זוכה געווען צו זיין ווי עס שטייט, בנים אתם לה' אלקיכם,
און מיר געפינען זיך דאך אויך בשנת המאה וחמשים להסתלקות הילולא של רבנו הזקן, און דער זכות הצדקה זאל אויך ביישטיין אייך אין דעם אלעס אויבען געזאגטע.

After a longer trip, your letter from 28/11 with its enclosures and also the pidyon nefesh reached me. At an auspicious time you and your wife will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, according to what you wrote in your letter. May it be G‑d's will that just as you brought your request, so too should you be able to share good news in this matter.
I hope that each of you—and both together—will reflect that every matter is by Divine Providence. Your letter was written in the month of Kislev, the month of miracles and redemption. We now find ourselves just days before Yud Tes Kislev—the redemption of Rabbeinu HaZaken, which is also our own redemption and the liberation of our souls. The pidyon nefesh will be read—G‑d willing—during this month of Kislev, the month of miracles and joy and a bright month as indicated in the mitzvah and concept of Chanukah lights—with which Kislev concludes—which points to illuminating a Jew's life with "ner mitzvah v'Torah or" (the candle is a mitzvah and Torah is light).
By reflecting on what was written above once or even several times until it is engraved in memory, this will lead to fulfillment in the spirit of "Ne'im Zemiros Yisrael b'shem kol Yisrael: Hashem li lo ira; Hashem ro'i lo echsar" (the sweet singer of Israel says on behalf of all Israel: 'The L‑rd is with me; I do not fear; The L‑rd is my shepherd; I lack nothing'). Since Hashem pays attention to everyone individually, there should not be lacking anything one needs. One should be joyful and glad-hearted for having merited to be as it says: "Banim atem laHashem Elokeichem" (You are children to Hashem your G‑d). We also find ourselves in the one hundred fiftieth year since the passing (yahrzeit) of Rabbeinu HaZaken. The merit of tzedakah should also stand by you in all that was said above.
With blessing for good news and for Yud Tes Kislev and a joyous Chanukah.
