במענה על מכתבו בו כותב עוד הפעם במה שכתב במכתבו הקודם ובקשר עם המענה שקבל ממני ושואל דעתי עוד הפעם בשאלה זו עצמה.
וכבר מלתו אמורה בריש פרק שני דברכות אשר המדובר שם בקריאת שמע שבה מצווים בכל יום ובתחלת היום שעלינו לקבל עול מלכות שמים עול מצות, וראה ג"כ תניא פרק מ"א, ואם לדעתי ישמע יציע עוד הפעם עניניו לפני הר"מ והר"י שלו, ויקיים הוראתם אליבא דנפשי' ואליבא דאמת ומתוך קבלת עול, ואז יבטלו כל ההעלמות והסתרים המדומים שאין להם מציאות אלא בהעדר הרצון דקבלת עול.
ולהודעתו מיום ההולדת שלו הבע"ל ומתברך להיות יהודי יר"ש וחסיד, הרי הבחירה ניתנה לכאו"א וגם הכחות שיוכלו ללכת בדרך הטוב והישר וכמ"ש ובחרת בחיים, אלא שמצדו הצריך להשתמש בכח בחירתו לא למלאות רצון עצמו אלא למלאות רצונו של הקב"ה שנתגלה בתורתנו תורת חיים ושמקבלים הוראות בזה ממי שגדול ממנו בתורה וביר"ש ותלמיד ישיבה מקבל הוראות אלו מהמשפיע שלו, ויהי רצון שתהי' שנת הצלחה אצלו בלימוד תורתנו הק' ובקיום מצותי' בהידור.

In response to your letter in which you write once again about what you wrote in your previous letter and regarding the answer you received from me, and you ask my opinion once again on this same question.
It is already stated at the beginning of the second chapter of Berachos regarding Krias Shema, which we are commanded to recite every day and at the start of the day—to accept upon ourselves the yoke of Heaven and the yoke of mitzvos. See also Tanya chapter 41. If you will heed my advice, present your matters again before your mashpia R.M. and R.Y., and fulfill their instructions sincerely and truthfully, with acceptance of the yoke. Then all imagined concealments and obstacles—which have no real existence except for a lack of willingness to accept the yoke—will be nullified.
Regarding your notification about your upcoming birthday: May you be blessed to be a Jew who fears Heaven and a chassid. Free choice is given to everyone, as well as the abilities to follow the good and upright path, as it is written: "u'vacharta ba'chayim" (and you shall choose life). One must use his power of choice not to fulfill his own will but rather to fulfill the will of Hakadosh Baruch Hu as revealed in our Torah—the Torah of life—and receive guidance in this from someone greater than himself in Torah knowledge and fear of Heaven; a yeshiva student receives such guidance from his mashpia.
May it be His will that this be a year of success for you in learning our holy Torah and fulfilling its mitzvos with excellence.
