Shalom u'Vrachah!

I am enclosing here what was recently published, which I hope will interest you. – And even if it is not directly within your field of activity, nevertheless all matters in the world are ultimately connected to one another, for unity extends from above downwards. The foundation of our faith is that Hashem is One; He created the world so that unity would be drawn into it as well. As explained by Rabbeinu HaZaken on the verse Goi Echad BaAretz ("a unique nation on earth")—a nation that draws unity even into earthly matters.

This is also the inner point that our Torah especially emphasizes: the matter of peace and unity—to the extent that our Sages said: "Great is peace, for the entire Torah was given to make peace in the world."

From time to time I feel particular gratitude to Rabbi A. Ch. Glitzenshtein for informing me about your health status; may it be G‑d's will that you have a complete recovery.

As is customary among Bnei Yisrael to conclude with a matter relevant to the time: we are approaching Rosh Chodesh Elul—the month of mercy and favor—and especially according to Rabbeinu HaZaken, who explains that Elul stands for Ani L'Dodi V'Dodi Li ("I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine"), when the king is in the field (Likkutei Torah D"H Ani L'Dodi 32b). May it be G‑d's will that despite efforts these days to separate hearts and distance even those who are close, all Jews—wherever they are—will draw close to one another. In traditional style: may everyone join together as one group to serve Him wholeheartedly, as demanded by Chassidus—with joy and gladness of heart.
