I received the news regarding the unfortunate event that occurred in the old building of the yeshiva.

May it be G‑d's will that very soon the saying from holy tzaddikim, as recorded in the handwriting of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya (the authority in the hidden dimension of Torah) and Shulchan Aruch (the authority in the revealed dimension), will be fulfilled in its entirety: that after a fire comes wealth. He explains that this is according to the trait of Yaakov—an inheritance without boundaries, stretching from one end to another, etc.

Especially when considering an additional point: at first glance, two opposites are mentioned above—an inheritance without boundaries and stretching from end to end (which is limited by two ends). Therefore, it must mean uniting these two aspects: an inheritance without boundaries within a limited place. As is known from the example regarding the space of the Aron (Ark), which was specifically two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide, yet in this very place existed something beyond measure. Similarly—in all times—in the four cubits of Torah study, study halls and yeshivas: within a limited space not only is there blessing to its greatest extent from end to end, but also within it is drawn an inheritance without boundaries. [And therefore this is only through the attribute of Tiferes (beauty), and in its inner dimension—which rises into the inner aspect of Kesser (crown), where impossibilities are possible], and this suffices for understanding.

P.S. Since in matters like these it is necessary to specify and explain what applies practically—in physical terms this means fundraising efforts which by nature are limited—may those limits be as great as possible regarding amounts raised; through this will come abundant benefit for their rescue in an extraordinary manner.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that even after loss or destruction, such as a fire at a yeshiva, one can achieve both material prosperity and spiritual expansion beyond all limits—especially when practical efforts like fundraising are maximized with faith.
