Shalom u'Vrachah!

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 21st of MarCheshvan. Since we are now at the beginning (and generally) of the month of Kislev, which is the month of redemption and miracles, this is an auspicious time to awaken the blessing of Hashem that all matters—both personal and communal Torah and mitzvah concerns—should be redeemed from anything that hinders or confuses them.

It is also noteworthy that Rosh Chodesh Kislev is the last time for rain to descend—even in a late year. The matter of rain represents an awakening from Above that comes through an awakening from below, as it is written: 'Ve'ed ya'aleh min ha'aretz v'hishkah...' (And a mist would rise from the earth and water...) and as our Sages taught: 'A shoot broke forth from the earth immediately and watered.' May it be G‑d's will that everything for which we prayed—from the beginning of the year until the prayer for rain (which includes everything)—will come to fruition at the latest by now; may they descend below and be fulfilled completely starting from this Rosh Chodesh. May they come—for blessing, life, and abundance.
