I acknowledge receipt of your letters from the 6th, 10th, and 12th of Cheshvan and the following Monday. I was pleased to read that you have begun your holy work in the Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch network in Eretz HaKodesh with renewed energy and vitality. My strong hope is that—contrary to the usual way of the world where enthusiasm wanes over time—in this matter, which is among the core mitzvos of our holy Torah ('VeShinantam LeVanecha'—these are the students), it will be as the Torah commands: always ascending in holiness. This depends only on willpower, as discussed regarding 'Az es da nie hotshes' (you can but you do not want), etc.

It is simple, as I have written and also said orally, that all regular expenses of the network will be paid in full; this is only a matter dependent on timing. On the other hand, in the same language you use about not restricting expenses, experience has shown that immediately this leads to alarming expenditures that later no one can explain how such a sum was reached—as we discussed in person.

It is clear to me that separating boys and girls is essential and cannot be compromised. However, regarding combining classes, each school should consider this based on its own conditions and also estimate how the relevant offices will respond to such class combinations.

Regarding your question about my statement that it is necessary to gather a staff of expert teachers—and how this is possible since Anash have not been involved until now—expertise does not necessarily require many years of work. If someone has talent and a strong desire to specialize in education according to their own nature, it can be hoped that within several months they will become an expert. During these months they do not have to serve as principal or teach difficult classes; they can be employed where the work is easier—and this suffices.

You did not mention in your letter my request to convey regards also to those among Anash who are serving in the army. I hope this omission was only from your letter itself and that upon your return to Eretz HaKodesh you will ensure they feel remembered—not forgotten G‑d forbid. Certainly R' Leibel Zalmanov and others whose work with Tzach keeps them most connected with these individuals will help you arrange this most effectively.

Since one of a school principal's main roles is negotiating with various offices and making a good impression there, it is understood that when there is doubt, preference should be given to someone known for good relations and making a positive impression.

Regarding what you wrote about opening a teachers' seminary: you did not write any plan for this—only mentioning significant difficulties. You should investigate existing seminaries that have already been operating for some time so their approach is known; select those most suitable. Certainly by negotiating with them ahead of time it may be possible to demand additional improvements for correction.

Blessings for good news in all mentioned above—and most importantly: just as he has thrown himself into his holy work to develop all aspects of the network, he sees success from Hashem in this.
