בקשר עם המאורע בלתי טהור בהרמת יד וכו'... מוכרחני לכתוב בשורות הבאות לקמן הבהלת הענין, והן:
לנבון נקל אשר במשך כל שנות קיום הכפר, שמרו והגינו עליו באופן שלמעלה מדרך הטבע, ת"ל. שבודאי זהו בהתעוררות ר"ר של רבותינו נשיאינו וביחוד כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר מייסד הכפר ומנהלו, עד שמיום הוסד הכפר בשנת תש"ח הנה, ת"ל, לא נפקד - מכל תושבי הכפר איש. ומובן הנס גלוי שבזה. וכיון שהתעוררות רחמים שלמעלה צריך להתאים לה כלי מתאים, וכלי מחזיק ברכתו של הקב"ה ה"ה השלום ובפרט כשהמדובר הוא בהתעוררות ר"ר של נשיאי חב"ד אשר מסרו נפשם על הענין דאהבת ישראל, וכמ"ש זה איזה פעמים, פשוט שעל כל תושבי הכפר להזהר ביותר וביותר בעניני השלום וקירוב הלבבות...
ויהי רצון, אשר יוצר האדם היוצר יחד לבם ויודע גודל הערמומיות דנפש הבהמית ויצר הרע וכו', קושי וחשך הגלות הכפול ומכופל, יראה בענינו בתכ"י, ויכופר כל הענין ותוצאותיו, כפרה במילואה, כלשון רבנו הזקן, שיהי' לרצון לפני הוי' ומרוצה וחביב לפניו ית' וכו', ואך טוב וחסד בטוב הנראה והנגלה ימצא את כל אחד ואחת מתושבי כפר חב"ד מעתה ועד עולם.
ויהי רצון שאתבשר טוב בכל האמור ובהקדם.

In connection with the impure event involving an act of violence, etc., I must write in the following lines the urgency of the matter, namely: It is clear to any understanding person that throughout all the years of the village's existence, it has been guarded and protected in a manner beyond nature, thank G‑d. Surely this is due to the arousal of abundant mercy from our Rebbeim and especially from my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, founder and director of the village. Since its founding in 5708 (1948), thank G‑d, not a single resident has been lost from among all the inhabitants. The revealed miracle here is understood.
And since an arousal of mercy from Above requires a fitting vessel below—and the vessel that holds G‑d's blessing is peace—especially when it comes to an arousal of mercy from Chabad leaders who gave their lives for Ahavas Yisrael (love for fellow Jews), as has been stated several times—it is obvious that all residents must be exceedingly careful in matters of peace and drawing hearts close.
May it be His will—He who forms man and unites their hearts together and knows the cunningness of the animal soul and evil inclination, etc., as well as the difficulty and darkness of this doubled exile—that He will look upon our situation immediately; may full atonement be granted for this entire matter and its consequences, as expressed by our master the Alter Rebbe: "that it should be pleasing before Hashem and accepted and beloved before Him," etc., and only goodness and kindness—goodness that is visible and revealed—should be found by every single resident of Kfar Chabad from now until forever.
May it be His will that I hear good news regarding all the above—and soon.

P.S. According to our Sages' well-known instructions regarding someone who caused harm to another—and especially as explained in Iggeres HaKodesh section 25—even those who were hurt must accept upon themselves extra care and enhancement in fulfilling Hashem's mitzvos. Certainly one must uproot any trace of resentment from one's heart, G‑d forbid—as stated in this week's Torah portion: when Israel's tribes are united, it brings about gatherings of leaders among the people and causes "VaYehi BiYeshurun Melech" (and there was a king in Yeshurun), as explained in Likkutei Torah about the great virtue when Bnei Yisrael are on the level of Yeshurun.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that miraculous protection comes through unity and peace. Every resident must work diligently to foster harmony so that Kfar Chabad remains a vessel for G‑d's revealed blessings.
