It was pleasant to receive your letter from the 4th of Tishrei with its enclosure, in which you write main points about your activities in recent weeks. Surely you are preparing a detailed plan regarding the upcoming days of joy for us and all Israel for good: blessing on the four species, farbrengens for Simchas Beis HaShoeva, Shemini Atzeres and Simchas Torah, etc.

Since this year there are three consecutive days of joy—two festival days and the Shabbos that follows them (on Shabbos we say "Yismachu b'Malchuscha Shomrei Shabbos"—even though it is understood that Shabbos is an aspect of delight as explained at length in Chassidus)—may it be G‑d's will that the number of your activities increases and that those influenced by you also increase. With proper health and joy may you ascend ever higher in spreading the wellsprings outward until you transform the outside into inside, as is requested in these days beginning from Rosh Chodesh Elul: "Bakshu Panai Es Panecha Hashem Avakeish" (Seek My face; Your face, Hashem, I seek).
