In general, this is a sound idea. It is evident that giving trust to senior students and elevating them to the status of teacher and influencer—even if only for a few hours—adds enthusiasm and diligence to their own studies at this institution. It also deepens their connection and involvement with the institution and its matters.

Although one might say that since they lack experience at first, they may not succeed so well in teaching and education during this initial period, it is proven from other places in similar situations that the excitement of such students upon being appointed to a responsible role compensates for their lack of knowledge in educational methods and pedagogy.

It is understood that not all senior students are suitable for this. In addition to good conduct and a sense of responsibility, there must be some talent for maintaining discipline, etc. There is also concern that some may interpret this action as the institution wanting to exploit them for its own benefit without considering the benefit of the students themselves.

Therefore, it is necessary that all members of the administration of Oholei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch in Melbourne discuss this proposal as a whole and then regarding each student according to his character and nature.
