Shalom u'Vrachah!
I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter and pan from the tenth of Menachem Av with its enclosure, and may it be G‑d's will that you share good news regarding this.
Especially now that we have entered the Days of Consolation—a double consolation—meaning doubled relative to all the anguish and pain, etc., G‑d forbid, that was in the past, and doubled in holiness. For even the Jewish body is holy, as our master the Alter Rebbe said: 'And You have chosen us from every nation and tongue—the physical body that appears similar in its materiality to the bodies of other nations' (Tanya end ch. 49).
And it is the day itself that causes this, as is known from our Sages: from this point onward, whoever increases [in good deeds], they increase for him.
With blessings for good tidings regarding all the above.
Summary
The Rebbe highlights that during the Days of Consolation there is an opportunity for double comfort—both healing from past pain and growth in holiness. He encourages using this time to increase in positive actions and to recognize the inherent holiness within every Jew.
