במענה על מכתבו בג' תמוז, בו כותב ראשי פרקים אשר עבר עליו במשך שני החדשים האחרונים. ואשרי חלקו אשר זוכה להפיץ מעיינות דברי אלקים חיים היא תורת החסידות על ידי לימודו תורה זו עם כמה מחבריו. ויהי רצון שחפץ ה' בידו יצליח להרבות מספר המשתתפים בלימוד זה הלוך והוסיף. וידועה הבטחת רז"ל יגעת ומצאת.
ובודאי ינצל גם היותו ראש המחנה של... להשפיע גם עליהם בכגון דא, מתאים להבנתם והשגתם וכשרונותיהם וידיעותיהם, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון, ובפרט אשר זכות הרבים מסייעתו.
מה שכותב שעושה חשבון בנפשו מי הוא ללמוד עם אחרים בידעו מצבו הוא כו', כבר ידוע בזה הבחינה לדעת ממי באה טענה דכגון זו, שאם הטענה מונעת מפעולה טובה בידוע שהיא באה מהלעומת זה, וכפתגם כ"ק אדמו"ר מהרש"ב נעתק בהיום יום כ"ג סיון תש"ג, עיין שם. וכלך מפיזור הנפש ומבלבולי מחשבות כגון אלו, ויבשר טוב מהשפעתו על תלמידיו ומושפעיו, ושכרו מובטח מאבינו שבשמים שנעשים לבו ומוחו זכים אלף פעמים ככה.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 3rd of Tammuz, in which you outline what you have experienced over the past two months. Fortunate is your portion that you merit to spread the wellsprings of the words of the living G‑d—that is, the teachings of Chassidus—by studying this Torah with several of your friends.
May it be G‑d's will that your efforts succeed in increasing the number of participants in this study ever more. The assurance of our Sages is well known: "Yagata u'Matzata" (If you toil, you will find). Certainly you will also utilize your position as head of the group to influence them in these matters as well, according to their understanding, abilities, and knowledge. Nothing stands in the way of willpower—especially since the merit of the many assists you.
Regarding what you write about questioning yourself—who are you to teach others when you know your own situation and so on—it is already known how to evaluate from whom such an argument comes. If this claim prevents a good action, it is clear that it comes from the opposing side. As stated by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe Maharash, quoted in Hayom Yom for 23 Sivan 5703; see there.
All such thoughts only cause confusion and distraction. May you share good news regarding your influence on your students and those affected by you. Your reward is assured from our Father in Heaven: your heart and mind will become a thousand times more refined.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that spreading Chassidus brings great merit and one should not let self-doubt hinder positive influence on others; such doubts come from negative sources. Effort in this work brings both personal refinement and spiritual reward.
