In response to your letter from the 16th of Tammuz ^[1]. May it be the will of Hashem, Who guards His people Israel and watches over each individual with Divine Providence, Who is the essence of good, that He should protect you both materially and spiritually wherever you are.

And since none of us knows the full extent of things, one should view himself as having been sent to his current environment in order to strengthen and spread Judaism in general and especially the teachings, guidance, and customs of Chassidus. Every effort and endeavor in this is worthwhile—considering the greatness and importance of the matter. If this is required everywhere one finds oneself, how much more so in an environment where there is an added special command and where there was a holy educator.

As mentioned above, none of us knows the full extent of things, and it is possible that once you fulfill this mission you will be returned to your previous environment in an orderly manner with kindness and peace.

You have surely read the transcripts of talks based on the Baal Shem Tov's saying that from every matter a person must learn a lesson in service to Hashem. When one is in an environment founded on discipline and Kabbalat Ol (acceptance of the yoke), this serves as a constant reminder that the beginning, main point, and root of service is Kabbalat Ol Malchut Shamayim (acceptance of the yoke of Heaven), which is clear.

You surely held a farbrengen on days of redemption, and may it be G‑d's will that the inspiration and joy continue throughout the entire year.
