במענה על מכתבו מיום שהוכפל בו כי טוב לס' נשא נעם לי לקרות במכתבו שבתחלת החודש נראה קצת חיות בהמסחר, ויהי רצון שיהי' זה התחלה טובה לחיות במסחר בהתפשטות שתתרבה הפרנסה כפשוטה בכל הדרוש ותגרום גם להרחבת הדעת ולהקלת (עס זאל גרינגער אנקומען) עבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב כציווי הכתוב.
ובפרט כשחג השבועות ממשמש ובא, וידוע המבואר בחסידות, שטבעת הקדושין שנתן הקב"ה לישראל בעת שקידש אותם במעמד הר סיני הם הענינים הגשמיים, שיהי' טוב בגשמיות בבני חיי ומזוני רויחא.
מה שמתפלא על תשובותי וכדאמרי בעלמא אז ער ווייס אויך אן אדרעס, מובן שאין כוונת תשובה להיות במקום אדרעסן-בוך כ"א להורות לו הדרך איך שייטיב מצב פרנסתו, ומוכרחני לומר כמו שאני רואה את הדרך ולא כמו שאחר רוצה שאראה הדרך בעיניו הוא.

In response to your letter from the day that doubled with goodness for Parshas Naso: I was pleased to read in your letter that at the beginning of the month there appeared some vitality in your business. May it be Hashem's will that this be a good beginning for increased vitality in your business, with expanded livelihood so that all your needs are met, and that this will also bring you expanded peace of mind and make serving Hashem with joy and gladness of heart easier, as the Torah commands.
This is especially relevant as Shavuos approaches. It is well known and explained in Chassidus that the wedding ring which Hashem gave Israel when He sanctified them at Mount Sinai refers to material matters—that things should be good physically: children, health, and abundant livelihood.
You wonder about my responses and say as people do that "he also knows an address." It is understood that my intent in responding is not to serve as an address book but rather to show you the way to improve your financial situation. I must say what I see as the path forward—not what someone else wants me to see through their eyes.
