Havavac"h iy"a nu"n melachto melachet shamayim Yaakov
Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter, and it is surprising that there was such a long gap between one of your letters and the next. Surely by now you have already received my letter of response to the administration of Yeshivas Achei Temimim in Rishon LeTzion regarding the wording of the sign and the receipts. It is understood that what you wrote—that since you previously studied at the Kishinev Yeshiva, you think your own intellect misleads you, and therefore you will not conduct negotiations etc., but rather stand aside—is not acceptable to me. In general, standing aside is not an appropriate approach in our times; every ability must be utilized to its fullest extent—one hundred percent—and hopefully this will suffice for what is required at this time. The above concern should be dismissed by contemplating and discussing the matter with other members of the administration. Also, regarding such matters it is said: 'Do not be overly righteous.'
Blessings for good news in all the above and in your personal matters, as well as from your participation in activities of Aguch and Tzeirei Aguch, especially spreading the wellsprings outward—which continues to grow and expand—and with blessings for a kosher and joyous Pesach.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that one should not stand aside from communal projects out of self-doubt; rather, every individual should actively contribute their abilities for the benefit of the community and seek counsel when needed.
