נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מיו"ד תמוז, ובודאי קבל מכתבי מענה על מכתבו מאז.
בו כותב אודות הקב"ע שלהם בתורת הנגלה ובתורת החסידות, ובודאי לא יסתפקו בזה ויוסיפו מזמן לזמן, וכפסק תוה"ק מעלין בקדש, ופשוט שדברי אלה אמורים גם בנוגע ללימוד תורת החסידות, ובפרט שזכה שהשגחה העליונה הביאתו להתיישב בכפר חב"ד שנתייסד ע"י כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע נשיא ישראל שלימוד תורה זו הוא הצנור והכלים להמשכת ברכות השי"ת ביחוד במקום זה, ויה"ר שיומשך בין בגשמיות ובין ברוחניות בטוב הנראה והנגלה.
בשאלתו אודות נוסח התפלה, הנה אף שידוע מרז"ל אל תשנו מנהג אבותיכם מנוחי נפש, כבר פסקו גדולי ישראל שמותר לשנות מנוסח אשכנז לנוסח ספרד ועד"ז מותר ונכון לשנות מנוסח ספרד לנוסח אר"י שהוא סולת מנופה ע"י רבנו הזקן בעל התניא - פוסק בנסתר דתורה - והשולחן ערוך - פוסק בנגלה דתורה. והשי"ת יצליחו למילוי משאלות לבבו לטובה בתפלותיו.

I was pleased to receive your letter from the 10th of Tammuz, and you have surely received my reply to your previous letter since then.
In it you write about your fixed times for study in both the revealed part of Torah and in Chassidus. Certainly you will not be satisfied with this and will add more from time to time, as our holy Torah rules: "Ma'alin bakodesh" (we ascend in holiness). It is obvious that my words also apply regarding the study of Chassidus, especially since you have merited that Divine Providence has brought you to settle in Kfar Chabad, which was established by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nbg"m zy"a, leader of Israel. The study of this Torah is the channel and vessel for drawing down the blessings of Hashem, especially in this place. May it be His will that these blessings be drawn down for you both materially and spiritually in a visible and revealed good.
Regarding your question about the prayer nusach: Although our Sages said "Do not change the customs of your ancestors who rest peacefully," nevertheless, leading authorities of Israel have ruled that it is permitted to change from Nusach Ashkenaz to Nusach Sefard; similarly, it is permitted and proper to change from Nusach Sefard to Nusach Ari—which is a refined selection by our master the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya (the halachic authority in the hidden dimension of Torah) and Shulchan Aruch (the halachic authority in the revealed dimension of Torah).
May Hashem grant you success in fulfilling all your heart's desires for good in your prayers.
