לאחרי שתיקתו הארוכה, נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מיום הששי, אף כי כתוב הוא בקיצור נמרץ, וגם בו לא מצאתי טעם להפסק ארוך במכתביו. ונעם לי לראות במכתבו שינצלו ימי החופש במחנה קיץ להתלמידים, כי הרי דוקא זמן זה מוכשר להחדיר בהתלמידים עניני יראת שמים ורוח התורה בכלל, כיון שאין לימודי חול מבלבלים אותם ואין הדבר תלוי אלא בהמורה והמדריך.
ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בכל הנ"ל וכן אשר נוטרים את כרמם שלהם היינו הפצת המעינות תורת החסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי' בסביבתם הקרובה והרחוקה.

After your long silence, it pleased me to receive your letter from Friday, even though it was written very briefly, and even in it I did not find a reason for such a long break in your correspondence.
I was pleased to see in your letter that the days of vacation at the summer camp for the students will be utilized, because specifically this time is suitable for instilling in the students matters of Yiras Shamayim (awe of Heaven) and the spirit of Torah in general, since secular studies do not distract them and everything depends only on the teacher and counselor.
May it be G‑d's will that you share good news regarding all the above, as well as about those who tend their own vineyard—that is, spreading the wellsprings of Chassidus, its guidance and customs in their surroundings both near and far.
