במענה על מכתבו, בו מודיע אודות עבודתו בקדש להדריך ילדי בני ישראל ביראת שמים בלימוד תורה ובקיום מצותי', ואשרי חלקו שזכה לזה, אשר גודל ענין קירוב בני ישראל לאבינו שבשמים, אין די באר. ובמ"ש אודות תכנית הלימודים עמהם, מובן שצריך להיות נכלל לימוד הלכות הצריכות בחיי היום יומים של המושפעים שלו, וזה בא לכל לראש, וכמאמר רז"ל לא המדרש עיקר אלא המעשה. ובטח יכול לברר לאיזה פרטים נזקקים ביותר, וגם על זה נאמר ותשועה ברוב יועץ. ועוד נקודה בזה כיון שזמן היותו עמהם יחד מצומצם הוא, צריך לעורר בהם חשק אשר גם בהלכם מאתו ימשיכו, בביתם או בבית הכנסת, באותם הענינים אודותם מדבר ומשפיע עליהם, והוא על ידי שיתחיל בסיפור ענין ויאמר להם שהמשכו נמצא בספר פלוני במקום פלוני וכיו"ב. וכיון שכפי שכתבו כבר הצליח להשפיע על איזה אברכים בהנוגע למנהגי חסידות, עאכו"כ שיצליח כהנ"ל במושפעיו האמורים.
במ"ש אודות לבישת טלית גדול קודם הנשואין, הנה על כגון זה נאמר, שצריך לנהוג כמנהג הסביבה בה נמצא, אבל פשיטא שנשיאת כפים צ"ל בלבישת טלית, וכמדומה שאין כל חילוקי מנהגים בזה.

In response to your letter, in which you inform me about your holy work of guiding the children of Bnei Yisrael in fear of Heaven through Torah study and mitzvah observance—fortunate is your lot that you have merited this, for the greatness of bringing Bnei Yisrael closer to our Father in Heaven cannot be adequately expressed.
Regarding what you wrote about the curriculum with them, it is understood that teaching the necessary laws for day-to-day life to your students must be included—and this comes first and foremost, as our Sages said: "Not study is the main thing, but action." Surely you can clarify which details are most needed; and regarding this too it is said: "Salvation comes with much counsel."
Another point: since your time together with them is limited, you must inspire them with enthusiasm so that even after they leave you, they will continue—in their homes or in the synagogue—with those matters you have discussed and influenced them about. This can be accomplished by beginning a story or topic and telling them its continuation can be found in a certain book at a certain place, etc.
And since, as you wrote, you have already succeeded in influencing some Avrechim regarding Chassidic customs, how much more so will you succeed as above with your aforementioned students.
Regarding what you wrote about wearing a tallis gadol before marriage: for such matters one should follow the custom of the community where one resides. However, it is obvious that Birkat Kohanim (priestly blessing) must be done while wearing a tallis—and it seems there are no differences in custom regarding this.
