Shalom u'Vrachah!

I was pleased to receive your letter from the 23rd of Nissan, in which you write about the farbrengens during these auspicious days. I also received reports about this from others. Fortunate is your lot that you merit to be a channel to inspire Anash and also the Temimim, drawing them even closer to their source—their root and origin—which are our holy Rebbeim, our leaders. Just as until now they stood and served, so too do they now stand and arouse abundant mercy on all those connected to them in all matters generally, and especially in matters of Toras Chassidus—its guidance and customs. From this it is understood how great is the satisfaction caused to them by each individual who strives in this area, and he receives his reward both materially and spiritually—both regarding himself and regarding his family.

May it be G‑d's will that in the future you will report that you are fulfilling our Sages' directive of "ascending in holiness," with proper health, expanded mind, and success. On the other hand, all of the above does not exempt one from other matters—including also the matter of the rabbinate. Even though "a prisoner cannot free himself," there are many ways to encourage those who can work on this directly; in some of these ways you too should take part—and this should suffice.

With blessing—in the words of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal: "Have a healthy summer," and for good news in all the above.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that inspiring others brings great satisfaction to our leaders above and brings reward both materially and spiritually. One should continue growing in holiness while also remaining attentive to all communal responsibilities.
