במענה על מכתבו במש"כ אודות המצב הכספי החמור של הישיבה, הנה בעוה"ר מצב כעין זה, לפ"ע, הוא בכל המוסדות החרדים, ולא רק באה"ק ת"ו אלא גם בארצוה"ב. ובודאי למותר להזכיר אודות אגרת הידועה של הרמב"ן כשבא לאה"ק ת"ו שכל הקדוש מחברו כו' וגם בחו"ל כן הוא עד"ז. ואף שמובן שצרת רבים רק חצי נחמה, לא באתי בזה אלא להביע תמיהתי שנופל ברוחו כ"כ מהמצב, ובטוח אני אשר נשיאנו הק' משפיע הצלחה מרובה בכל הישיבות, וגם זו שברשל"צ בכלל כמובן ופשוט, ואחכה לבשו"ט מהרמת הרוח ובמילא גם הטבת המצב.

In response to your letter regarding the severe financial situation of the yeshiva: unfortunately, such a situation exists, to some extent, in all charedi institutions—not only in Eretz HaKodesh but also in the United States. Certainly, it is unnecessary to mention the well-known letter of the Ramban when he came to Eretz HaKodesh: 'Kol HaKadosh Mechavero...' (each place that is holier than another...), and similarly so is it abroad.
Even though it is understood that a problem shared by many is only half a comfort, I mention this only to express my surprise that you have become so despondent over the situation. I am confident that our holy Nasi bestows abundant success upon all yeshivas—including the one in Rishon LeTzion—as is obvious and self-evident. I await good news about your uplifted spirit and consequently also about an improvement in the situation.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that while financial struggles are widespread among yeshivas, one should not lose heart. Maintaining hope and a positive outlook invites blessing and improvement even amidst difficulty.
