It is possible that Mrs. ... may turn to you with a question regarding her health not being as it should be and there are concerns about whether her health allows her to become pregnant (I wrote to her—that if the doctor says the above, she should turn to you for guidance on how to proceed). Surely you are aware of the ruling of our master, the tzt"z (Responsa Even HaEzer siman 89), who is lenient and permits in this matter.

I have already said regarding those who are stringent among the Hungarian community—that in addition to the above, that in a place where there is a rabbi, the law follows him, and we everywhere are in the domain of our holy leaders—there is reason to say that those who were stringent in previous generations and therefore said to act with abstinence due to the known concern, knowing our situation in this orphaned generation, it is likely that because of this very concern they would explicitly rule not to act with abstinence. And since agreement of both sides is required here—they would especially hold by the tzt"z's leniency. This should suffice.
