איך האף אז צו דער צייט פון באקומען מיין דיזן בריף פילט איר בעסער גאר פשוט בבריאות הגשמית וואס דאס ווענדעט זיך אן השם יתברך, במילא וועט דאס בעסערען און פארגרעסערען אין ענינים פון בריאות הרוחנית, וואס דאס איז בידי אדם, ווי דער מאמר רז"ל הכל בידי שמים חוץ מיראת שמים. און ווי עס איז באוואוסט דער ווארט פון רבנו הזקן, וואס זיין חג הגאולה גייען מיר פייערען בקרוב י"ט כסלו הבע"ל, אז השם יתברך גיט אידען גשמיות און זיי מאכען פון גשמיות רוחניות. וואס די כוונה איז ניט נאר כפשוטו, פארדינסטען נאר נאך מער פנימיות'דיק, דער גוף און אפילו דער נפש הבהמית, וואס דאס באקומט מען פון השם יתברך, מאכט זיי השי"ת אז זיי זאלען זיין גאנץ בגשמיות און זיי אידען מאכען פון די גשמיות רוחניות, און ווי דער רמב"ם שרייבט, אז היות הגוף בריא ושלם מדרכי השם הוא, און נאך דייטליכער ווערט געזאגט אין תניא קדישא אנהויב פרק ז, לעבוד את ה' בגופו, און דאס ווערט נאך באקרעפטיגט דורך דעם אנזאג פון נשיאנו הק' אז ואהבת את ה' אלקיך בינדט זיך מיט ואהבת לרעך כמוך, וואס דערפאר דארפמען איינווירקען אין דער סביבה צו אויפפירען זיך אין דעם וועג.
ואל יאמר האדם, און זאל דער מענטש ניט זאגען, ווער בין איך און וואס בין איך, צו טאן אין דעם, איז דאך ידוע דער פסק דין של מעלה אז פאר מסירת נפש (פון רבנו הזקן) אויף תורת החסידות, פסקו בבית דין של מעלה, אשר בכל ענין של תורה ויראת שמים ומדות טובות תהי' יד מקושריו והולכי בעקבותיו על העליונה.
בברכה לבריאות ופרנסה בהרחבה ולבשורות טובות בכל האמור, וגם בהנוגע לבריאות בנו שי' - שביקר עמדו אצלי.

In response to your letter from 1 Kislev. I hope that by the time you receive this letter you are feeling much better physically—which depends on Hashem Yisbarach. Therefore, this improvement will also enhance matters of spiritual health, which are in human hands, as our Sages say: "Everything is in the hands of Heaven except for fear of Heaven." It is also known what Rabbeinu HaZaken said—whose festival of redemption we will soon celebrate on the upcoming 19th of Kislev—that Hashem Yisbarach gives Jews materiality and they make from materiality spirituality. The intent is not only literally to earn a living but even more inwardly: the body and even the animal soul—which one receives from Hashem Yisbarach—He makes them whole in their physicality so that Jews can transform this materiality into spirituality. As Rambam writes: maintaining a healthy and whole body is among the ways of Hashem. This is stated even more explicitly at the beginning of chapter 7 in Tanya Kadisha: to serve Hashem with one's body. This is further reinforced by our holy Nesi'im's teaching that "VeAhavta Es Hashem Elokecha" (You shall love the L‑rd your G‑d) is bound up with "VeAhavta LeRei'acha Kamocha" (You shall love your fellow as yourself), and therefore one must influence their surroundings to conduct themselves in this way.
And let no one say: Who am I and what am I to do in this? It is well known the heavenly ruling regarding Mesiras Nefesh (self-sacrifice) of Rabbeinu HaZaken for Toras HaChassidus: it was decreed in Heaven that in every matter of Torah, fear of Heaven, and good character traits, those who are connected to him and follow his path will have the upper hand.
