במענה על מכתבו מכ"ג חשון, כבקשתו יזכירו אותו, בתו וזוגתו - שיחיו - כאו"א להמצטרך לו הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות, ובטח יזכהו השי"ת ויצליחו לבשר טוב מהנעשה אתם.
ובודאי למותר לעוררו על פירוש החסידות במ"ש מד' מצעדי גבר כוננו ודרכו יחפץ, וכמבואר במכתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שנדפס בהתמים, שבמילא בכל מקום בואו והמצאו עליו לזכור שנשלח לשם מהשגחה עליונה וסו"ס צריך להאיר שם נר מצוה תורה אור ומאור שבתורה זוהי תורת החסידות הדרכותי' ומנהגי'. ועוד זאת אשר אפילו כשעוזב המקום וחוזר למקומו קבוע, צריך להמשיך בקישור באופן המתאים עם חבריו במקום הקודם ע"מ לחזק בהם ההתעוררות ועוד להגדילה מזמן לזמן. וכיון שאין הקב"ה מבקש אלא לפי כחם, בודאי ניתנו לו מקודם הכחות למלאות תפקידו העיקרי והכי נפשי האמור.

In response to your letter from the 23rd of Cheshvan: as you requested, you will be mentioned—your daughter and your wife as well—each one for what they need both materially and spiritually. Surely Hashem will grant you success to share good news about what happens with you all.
Certainly it is unnecessary to remind you of the chassidic explanation on the verse 'MeiHashem Mitzadei Gever Konanu V'Darko Yachpatz' (From Hashem are a man's steps established and He desires his way), as explained in the letter of my father-in-law the Rebbe printed in HaTamim: that wherever you go and find yourself, you must remember that you were sent there by Divine providence and ultimately must illuminate there with the candle of mitzvah and the light of Torah—and the luminary within Torah is Toras HaChassidus with its guidance and customs.
Furthermore, even when leaving a place and returning to your permanent home, one must continue an appropriate connection with friends from the previous place in order to strengthen their inspiration and increase it from time to time.
And since Hashem only asks according to one's abilities, surely beforehand you were given the strengths needed to fulfill this most essential and personal mission mentioned above.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that every place we find ourselves is by Divine design so we can bring Torah, mitzvos, and Chasidus there. Even after moving on, we should keep strengthening others. G‑d gives us all the strength needed for our unique mission.
