במענה על מכתבו מא' ראה, וגם לאחרי קריאתו עדיין התמי' במקומה עומדת, על הפסק הכי ארוך במכתבים. ובמה שכותב אודות לימודו בהישיבה, הנה פסק דין הוא שחזקה אפילו לתעמולה שאינה חוזרת ריקם עאכו"כ פעולה, וידוע ג"כ הפתגם טובה פעולה אחת מאלף אנחות, ובד"ת הרי מכלל הן אתה שומע, וכיון שאין רואים פירות הרי בודאי שאין פעולה, והרי עתה הן הימים שצריך לדבר רק על צד הטוב והפעולות לטוב של כאו"א ולא על המיעוט בהם וכו', ויה"ר שסוכ"ס הנה גם אנ"ש דאוסטרליא ידונו עוד הפעם על מה שכתבתי בכמה מכתבים, שאם היו מוסיפים בפעולה במוסד כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא ישראל היתה מלאכתם מתברכת וגם בעניני פרנסה כפשוטה, וידוע הפתגם המובא בדא"ח אז א קאפּ קען מען ניט ארויפשטעלען, על כן עליהם בעצמם לבוא לידי החלטה לדון עוה"פ בהנ"ל, ויה"ר שיבואו לידי החלטה בהתאם להמצב האמיתי בזה שאז יהיו החלטות טובות. וחבל על זמן שעבר עד עתה וכקושית רבנו הזקן בתניא סוף פרק מ' על מי שעומד בנהר וצועק מים לשתות שאינו מובן ולמה לו לצעוק הוי, והרי גם כאו"א מהם עומד בענין שימשיך פרנסה מלמעלה והוא העסק בהפצת המעינות בכלל ובהחזקת והרחבת המוסד בפרט וצועקין לפרנסה דוקא בארחות עקלקלות...

עתה נתקבל מכתבו מג' שופטים. ובמענה עליו: כוונתי במכתבי שכאו"א יוסיף על פעולותיו שע"ע בעניני אהלי"י[2], ויש מקום וגם יכולת להוספה. לחיזוק הדבר - טוב שתהי' החלטת כאו"א ע"ד ההוספה במעמד הרבים, וכמובן גם מד"ה החלצו...
ההתועדויות שלו עם הת' - מביאים תועלת רבה והלואי היו לעתים תכופות יותר...

In response to your letter from the first of Re'eh, even after reading it my question remains regarding the longest pause in correspondence. Regarding what you write about your studies in yeshivah: it is a ruling that even publicity does not go unanswered, all the more so actual action. It is also known that one act is better than a thousand sighs. In Torah matters, from a positive statement you can infer the negative; since no results are seen, certainly there has been no action. Now are days when we should speak only about the good side and positive actions of each person and not about their shortcomings, etc. May it be G‑d's will that finally even Anash of Australia will again discuss what I have written in several letters: if they would increase activity in the institution of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, leader of Israel, their work would be blessed—including in matters of livelihood literally. It is known the saying cited in Chassidus: "On a cup you cannot place another cup." Therefore, they themselves must come to a decision to reconsider this matter again. May they reach a decision according to the true situation so that there will be good resolutions. It is regrettable how much time has passed until now—like the Alter Rebbe's question at the end of Tanya chapter 40 about someone standing in a river and crying out for water to drink: it is not understood—why cry out? Each one stands in a situation where he can draw down sustenance from above—by spreading the wellsprings generally and supporting and expanding the institution specifically—yet they cry out for livelihood specifically along winding paths...

In response: My intent in my letter was that each person should add to his activities as before regarding matters of Oholei Yosef Yitzchak; there is room and ability for further addition. To strengthen this—it is good that each person's resolution about increasing activity be made publicly, as is also clear from "Heichaltzu..." His gatherings with the students bring much benefit; if only they would occur more often...
