במענה על מכתבו מכ"ה תמוז, נהניתי לקרות בו אשר הוטב מצב העסק, ומ"ש אשר מפני סיבות הי' מוכרח לסרב לקבל יותר הזמנות לא נראה לי הנהגה זו כלל, וכשמראים הצלחה ומרחיבים הצנור הרי צריך להרחיב הכלים למטה לקבל ההשפעה ולא לאמר שעדיין אינם מוכנים כלים לקליטה, ולכן אינו מקבל ההזמנה, וגם בגשמיות אין הנהגתו מתאימה, כי הרי זה שמסרב לקבל הזמנותיו בטח יחפש המזמין סוחר אחר ואין זה ענין חד פעמי.
נהניתי מהסברא לעשות שותפות עם הוו"ח אי"א עוסק בצ"צ מוה"ר ... שבכלל נכונה הצעה זו מכמה טעמים אף שמובן שצריכים להתדבר על הפרטים בזה, וע"פ הנהגת חז"ל טוב שיהיו כל התנאים בכתב למען לא ישאר כל מקום לספק, ובמילא ישרה השלום ביניהם, לא רק השלום במעשה שלא נחשד חסיד על מעשה ח"ו, אלא גם השלום בלב ובפנימיות.

In response to your letter from the 25th of Tammuz, I was pleased to read that your business situation has improved. However, regarding what you wrote—that due to certain reasons you were forced to refuse additional orders—I do not agree with this approach at all. When one is shown success and the channel is widened, one must also expand the vessels below to receive the influence and not say that the vessels are not yet ready for absorption; therefore, he does not accept the order. Even in material matters this conduct is not appropriate, because if you refuse someone's order, surely the customer will seek another merchant—and this is not a one-time matter.
I was pleased with the idea of forming a partnership with vavac"h iy"a involved in tzt"z Moreinu HaRav... In general this proposal is correct for several reasons, though it is understood that details must be discussed. According to our Sages' practice, it is good that all conditions be put in writing so there remains no room for doubt; thus peace will prevail between them—not only peace in action (for a chassid is never suspected of wrongdoing G‑d forbid), but also peace in heart and inwardly.
