In response to your letter from the 20th of Sivan and the previous one, with their enclosures.

a) The panim (requests) enclosed in your letter will be read at an auspicious time at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal. Certainly you will also explain to each person mentioned that they should increase in matters of Torah and mitzvos; by doing so, they add to the blessings of Hashem in all their needs—both material and spiritual. Since the panim will be read at the resting place of my revered father-in-law, connection (hiskashrus) is necessary so that there will be a conduit and vessel to receive the blessings drawn down through his arousal and mercy. This requires an action connected with him in some way—specifically, establishing a regular study session in his teachings or at least in Chassidus, since he is the Nasi who continues the work of the founders of Chassidus—and observing his customs, at least regarding saying Tehillim after davening every day. As our Sages say: "Words that come from the heart enter the heart."

b) I was pleased by your organizing a farbrengen with the students specifically in Brona—a place distant from Paris—similar to "Lech Lecha mei'artzecha mibais avicha" (Go forth from your land and from your father's house). Fortunate are those who helped organize this event; please convey my thanks to them—especially to the gabbaim you mention: Mr. Yadletzki, Mr. Zilberman, Mr. Mordechai Miller, and Mr. Pinkas—and may Hashem increase His blessing to each of them in all their needs both materially and spiritually.

c) I hope that the success of this project will inspire you all to make similar efforts several more times over the summer—even if it takes a different form or content—the main thing being to prepare provisions for the journey for vacation days for the students.

d) Regarding your notification that you will send your sons to yeshiva for summer—this is correct; may it be G‑d's will that it benefit their spiritual health and thereby also strengthen their physical health.
