לאחרי שתיקתו הארוכה, נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מד' סיון ... להתחלת הנחת תפילין של בנם אשר לעמיל הכהן שי', הנה יה"ר שיהי' בשעה טובה ומוצלחת, ויקוים בו האמור בתוכן ענין התפילין כמבואר בשו"ע ובתניא ריש פרק מ"א, והוא הוא תכלית תורת החסידות חב"ד, והרי חב"ד הוא הענין הנ"ל, וכמבואר שם.
ולהודעתו אשר התחיל להגיד שיעור בהישיבה, יזכהו השי"ת להשפיע בתלמידיו התורה אשר שם משה, היא תורתנו תורת חיים סם-חיים - וכמבואר בגמרא יומא ע"ב ב', ונעשה זה ע"י העבודה בדו"ר שאז עמלא דאורייתא סלקא לעילא קמי' קוב"ה, וכמבואר בכ"מ ומהם בתניא ריש פרק מ'.

After your long silence, I was pleased to receive your letter from the 4th of Sivan... Regarding the beginning of your son's donning of tefillin, Amil HaKohen, may it be at an auspicious and successful time, and may it be fulfilled in him as stated about the essence of tefillin as explained in Shulchan Aruch and at the beginning of chapter 41 in Tanya. This is indeed the ultimate purpose of Chabad Chassidus, for Chabad is this very concept, as explained there.
Regarding your notification that you have begun giving a shiur in the yeshivah: May Hashem grant you merit to inspire your students with the Torah that Moshe gave us—our Torah of life, an elixir of life—as explained in Gemara Yoma 72b. This is accomplished through service with awe and love, for then one's toil in Torah ascends above before the Holy One Blessed Be He, as explained in many places including at the beginning of chapter 41 in Tanya.
