נעם לי לקבל מכתבו, כנראה משילהי ניסן ושלאחריו, ולקרות בם אשר מקיים ציווי הקב"ה בקיום המצות בכלל ובמצות הצדקה בפרט, שתהי' בשמחה ובטוב עין, ובודאי יקיים השי"ת הבטחתו שעלי' אומר ובחנוני נא בזאת, אשר ע"י מצות הצדקה, הרי והריקותי לכם ברכה עד בלי די, ומדה כנגד מדה, הרי יהי' גם זה בצנור של שמחה ובאור פני מלך חיים מלכא דלעילא, ובהעיקר אשר בקרוב יוכל לבשר שמצא שידוך מתאים בשביל בתם הבכירה תי'.
מובן שצודק במ"ש שאין הוא דורש מאלו שמציעים נכבדות בשבילה בתנאי קודם להשידוך לימוד תורת החסידות וכו', כי בזמננו זה יראת שמים סופה להביא לידי הליכה בהדרכות החסידות והנהגותי', ובמשך הזמן גם ללמוד תורתה.
נהניתי ממ"ש שמתועד הוא בתוככי אנ"ש ומתדבר אתם גם בהימים שבינתים בהנוגע לד"ת הנהגות חסידיות כו' וכו', והרי ידוע ומפורסם עד כמה נהנו מהנהגות כמו אלו נשיאנו הק' זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ומובן ג"כ שכל אלו המקיימים פקודתם והוראותיהם וגורמים להם נחת רוח במקום הם נמצאים בהיכלות ובעולמות עליונים, שבודאי נחת רוח זה מביא לתוספת ברכה והצלחה בהמצטרך להמעורר לו ולכל ב"ב שיחיו.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter, apparently from the end of Nissan and after, and to read in it that you are fulfilling the command of the Holy One, blessed be He, by observing mitzvos in general and especially the mitzvah of tzedakah, doing so with joy and generosity. Surely Hashem will fulfill His promise about which He says: "U'bechanuni na b'zot" ("Test Me now with this")—that through the mitzvah of tzedakah, 'I will pour out for you a blessing beyond measure,' and measure for measure, this too will come through a channel of joy and with the light of the countenance of the King of Life, the Supreme King. Most importantly, may you soon be able to share good news that you have found a suitable shidduch for your eldest daughter.
It is understood that you are correct in what you wrote—that you do not require those who propose matches for her to make as a precondition before the shidduch that they study Chasidus and so forth. For in our times, fear of Heaven ultimately leads one to follow Chasidic guidance and conduct, and over time also to study its teachings.
I was pleased by what you wrote that you are connected within Anash and speak with them even during interim days regarding words of Torah and Chasidic conduct, etc., etc., for it is well known how much our holy leaders—our Rebbes—enjoyed such conduct. It is also understood that all those who fulfill their directives and instructions bring them satisfaction wherever they are in their palaces and higher worlds; surely this satisfaction brings additional blessing and success in all needed matters for the one who arouses it and for his entire family.
With blessings of mazal tov for your birthday, and with blessings as per the saying of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe: "Have a healthy, joyous summer."
