Shalom u'Vrachah!

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Erev Shabbat Kodesh Beshalach, and as you requested I will mention all those you wrote about at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal.

... I will also mention Mrs. ... may she live. Regarding the remedy she seeks, in addition to the good practices you described about her, she should delay her meals by ten or fifteen minutes (except on days when fasting is forbidden), and during those moments she should engage in a mitzvah. May Hashem fulfill the wishes of her heart for good and may she be able to increase in mitzvot with proper health for long and good years.

With blessing.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that sincere efforts to improve—such as delaying meals briefly to perform a mitzvah—can serve as a spiritual remedy for past missteps. Consistent positive actions open the way for blessings in health and longevity.
