לאחרי שתיקתו הארוכה נתקבל מכתבו בו כותב אודות יום ההולדת שלו, וכבקשתו אזכירו ואת זוגתו שיחיו לשנת הצלחה הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות שאם בנוגע לכל העולם כולו הא בהא תליא עאכו"כ בהנוגע לבני ובנות ישראל, וכיון שתורתנו תורת חיים ותורת עולם דורשת בריאות ברוחניות, בודאי שדרישה זו עצמה נותנת כח וברכה בהנוגע לבריאות בגשמיות, ובפרט ע"פ תורת הבעש"ט דעזב תעזוב עמו עם הגוף (ולא ע"י תעניות וסיגופים), וע"פ מה שנתבאר בתורת חסידות חב"ד איך שאין עוד כי הכל אחדות הרי בודאי ובודאי שכן הוא, וכבר ידוע לשון הרמב"ם בהלכות דיעות ריש פרק ד' היות הגוף בריא ושלם מדרכי השם הוא.
ואחתום באיחולי לחג פסח כשר ושמח לו ולזוגתו שיחיו, ואשר מיכלא דאסוותא ומיכלא דהימנותא, יפעלו בכאו"א את פעולתם השלימה בגשמיות וברוחניות.

After your long silence, your letter was received in which you write about your birthday. As you requested, I will mention you and your wife for a year of success both materially and spiritually. If this interdependence applies to the entire world, how much more so regarding the sons and daughters of Israel. Since our Torah is a Torah of life and an eternal Torah that demands spiritual health, certainly this very demand gives strength and blessing regarding physical health—especially according to the Baal Shem Tov's teaching that 'you shall surely help him' refers to helping the body (and not through fasts or self-afflictions). And as explained in Chabad Chassidus that there is nothing else besides Him because all is unity, it is certainly so. It is already known what Rambam writes at the beginning of Hilchos Deos chapter 4: being healthy and whole in body is part of the ways of Hashem.
I will conclude with wishes for a kosher and joyous Pesach for you and your wife, and may the 'food of healing' and 'food of faith' accomplish their complete effect in everyone both materially and spiritually.
