לאחרי שתיקתו הכי ארוכה, נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מטו"ב שבט עם המוסגר בו, ונעם לי בכפלים לקרות במכתבו הצלחת התועדות ביום הבהיר י"ט כסלו יום גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו. ולפלא שאין מזכיר ע"ד יום ההילולא יו"ד שבט אשר בטח ביאר למיודעיו ומכיריו אודות בעל ההילולא הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, פעולותיו ומסירת נפשו וכו', ואם מאיזה סיבה לא הי' באפשרי לסדר זה ביום ההילולא, בטח יחפש הזדמנות מתאימה כדי למלאות החסרון והשי"ת יצליחו.
... מובן מעצמו שצריך הי' במאד מאד לסדר לימוד התניא לכה"פ פעם אחת בשבוע בתור התחלה, וכיון שהזמן היותר מתאים לזה הוא ביום הש"ק, תקותי שהזמן מתאים גם בשבילו להכין עצמו להסברת הענינים והרי כבר ידוע המבואר במכתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ע"ד תניא (נדפס בספר קיצורים והערות לתניא), אשר התניא נקרא תורה שבכתב של חסידות, וכמו שהוא בנוגע לתושב"כ דכללות התורה הנה גם בלימוד ספר התניא, הגדול שבגדולים אינו יכול לירד עד סוף תכלית עומק הדברים, והפשוט שבפשוטים גם לו אפשר להבין ענינים המבוארים שם (עיין במכתב הנ"ל באריכות), וגודל הזכות בהפצת לימוד זה ברבים אין די באר.
ת"ח במיוחד על שני סיפורים שמעתיק מצוואת אביו ז"ל ובפרט בעד הסיפור משנת תרע"ט, שהוא ע"ד אאמו"ר זלה"ה. ות"ח מראש אם יהנה אותי בהעתק שאר הסיפורים והענינים אשר בהנ"ל.
בברכה לחג פסח כשר ושמח. ומטובו למסור פ"ש וברכתי זו לכל הבאים על החתום במכתב הכללי שצירף במכתבו.

After your longest silence, I was pleased to receive your letter from the 15th of Shevat with its enclosure. I was doubly pleased to read in your letter about the successful farbrengen on the bright day of Yud Tes Kislev, our day of redemption and soul's liberation. It is surprising that you did not mention anything about the yahrzeit of Yud Shevat. Surely you explained to your acquaintances and friends about the one whose yahrzeit it is—my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nevigad tzidkat yagen aleinu—his activities and self-sacrifice, etc. If for some reason it was not possible to arrange this on the yahrzeit itself, surely you will seek a suitable opportunity to fill this gap, and may Hashem grant you success.
It is self-understood that it is very much necessary to arrange a Tanya study at least once a week as a start. Since the most suitable time for this is on Shabbat, I hope that this time also suits you to prepare yourself for explaining these matters. It is already well known what is explained in my revered father-in-law's letter regarding Tanya (printed in Sefer Kitzurim v'He'arot l'Tanya), that Tanya is called the Written Torah of Chassidus. Just as with regard to the Written Torah of all Torah—so too with studying Sefer Tanya: even the greatest cannot reach the ultimate depth of its matters, while even the simplest can understand concepts explained there (see that letter at length). The great merit in spreading this study publicly cannot be overstated.
Thank you especially for two stories you copied from your father's will of blessed memory—especially for the story from 5679 (1919), which concerns my late father. Thank you in advance if you will please me by sending copies of other stories and matters mentioned above.
